Knicks Are Juggling Several Scenarios

Quote:

Two weeks into the NBA free-agent grab bag, and the Knicks are still in a holding pattern. But it's not for lack of trying on the part of Isiah Thomas. The team president continues to pursue three roster-juggling possibilities, but as of last night, he was coming up empty on three fronts:

Erick Dampier is still a target, but Golden State is "very unwilling" to participate in a sign-and-trade, according to a member of Knicks management, because the Warriors don't want to take back any salaries. But they'll continue to stay in play for the 7-foot center, because he won't have any other offers right now until Atlanta starts its bidding.
