Why didn't Clippers take him instead of Chris Wilcox? Why didn't the Wizards take him instead of Jared Jeffries? Why didn't the Bucks take him instead of Marcus Haislip? Every team passed on him, not just the Knicks. |

On Angles they showed clips of the Knicks draft room. One of the things they showed was someone asking "Everyone fine with Williams? Anyone think we should go with Boozer?" So, the Knicks were actually thinking of taking him. We don't know if that's the case with those other teams. |

Well, the picks I mentioned were lottery picks, so probably not. No one thought Boozer would be this good, everyone said he was too small. |

When the 2nd round had rolled around that year, I wanted the Knicks to take him. I didn't even remember him when the first round was going by, then when they said that he was still on the board, I was like, "Oh sh*t, the Knicks should take him. He can be our backup PF. He can post up." I'm not sure, but I think that the Cavs took him ahead of the Knicks pick. Don't remember it too well, but I don't remember being pissed. If the Knicks had had a chance and skipped him in rd. 2, I would have been pissed. I'm also not pissed about Amare Stoudamire. I saw him in the high school dunk contest that year and he had looked skinny. He deserved to win the contest by the way, it was handed to Carmelo. He did a between the legs reverse. Like the Vince Carter play, except he reversed it. So I knew he was an athlete. I didn't like him because he looked too thin to be a good NBA power forward. I don't know what the hell he did (steroids) between then and the start of the season, but he really bulked up. Psychic Hindsight says: f*ck McDyess, draft him! :dunno: |

Boozer was taken one pick before the Knicks took Milos Vujanic. |
