hey f*ck you a-hole!...stop replying to my posts then if you don't have a point you can make w/o throwing insults my way...you noticed i tried to engage your point, & you chose to change the entire question because you didn't have a logical reply...

first it was "Antoine Walker's a selfish player" & your whole argument to back that up was "it's my opinion & that's that"...then it's "a $13 million dollar expiring contract means nothing" & you backed that bit of "brilliance" up w/"it won't bring us under the cap" when my question to you was how you could say that saving all that money would be insignificant to the Cablevision corporation.

& after you get frustrated at my continual questioning, you go the idiotic route of ragging on my site, which i never even brought up in this conversation...please, you're f*ckin pathetic!

don't start in w/the insults when you don't have a f*ckin' answer for me...just don't answer.

well, i hope you enjoy playing the role of "Mr. Hoops knowledge" over here...you're basically talking to yourself & your clones anyway so i guess you feel validated in that sense.

My clones?

Terp? He's Boston Celtic fan. I hate the Celtics.

Vinnie-- He's an Orlando Magic fan. Am I a Magic fan?

Who else are you referring to?

Nick Jett? Yes, he's a Knick fan and a friend of mine, but the only other team we have in common is the Rangers. He hates the Yankees, Duke, and the Giants, so he can't be a clone of me.

BleacherCreature? He's a Knick fan, but I didn't even know him until a few months ago, and we disagree on some sports issues, so he can't be my clone.

Is there anyone else you were referring to?

TMS, come on bro, just realize that you are in the minority when it comes to Walker. Not many people would want that clown on their team. If taking on his contract would help you get "under" the cap it's one thing. All his contract is going to do is get you in "less" of a huge hole then they are already in. There's no point in taking this clown, he'll hurt you more then help you. :peace:

If the Knicks start making player personnel decisions based on saving money for Cablevision, I will hate ownership even more than I already do. As I have said several times now, that spot can't be filled once the player walks, so the Knicks would be taking another step back. The Knicks actually have a legit shot at the Atlantic now with Shaq's Heat in the new Southeast division and the Nets taking a step back with their apparent loss of K-Mart.

You're a little slow, I guess. Maybe I should lay off.

My original point was Walker is selfish and there's more to his stats. Everytime I said something, you went right at me, questioning my knowledge. Then when I replied in regards to the points you bring up, which you obviously wanted replies to, I was starting trouble? You have serious issues.

I brought up your site because I thought it was funny you said you were leaving (all because I wasn't nice to you 2 weeks after your sister-in-law was hit by a motorcycle and some guy you knew from high school was bludgeoned to death by his psycho wife), yet came back under some other username. Why did you come back if you didn't want me to reply? Why did you sign up under another username and bring up a different angle? Why did you get back into the conversation right after I bumped up the thread when the July 14 moratorium on trades and signings ended? You obviously wanted my "clones" and I to respond. You got what you wanted, yet you're still complaining, as per usual. You must be a very irritatiing person to be around.

I'll take Terp's advice.

You're always 100% right, tMs.

Like I said at the time, you have no idea what is going on in my life. I choose not to let strangers know when things are going poorly. You were throwing around insults at me for weeks, then brought up an accident that happened 2 weeks earlier, and expected me to be nice to you. Sorry, but it doesn't work that way.

Example: I didn't post anything about my friend's little brother hanging himself about a month ago and how awful it was at the wake, funeral, and burial. I don't use tragedies to my advantage like that.

i made a thread about what happened in the Offtopic forum...i felt i would share some unfortunate happenings in my life w/some longtime posting buddies of mine over here...sometimes people need a kind word of reassurance in times like that...i didn't really get much response except from a few, so i guess i shouldn't have posted that on retrospect...& for that, i regret even posting it here.

then you started in with me on other threads after that...did i know you hadn't read that thread? no...did i expect you to be sympathetic? not really...but don't act like you're an innocent party in this dude...you have been throwing insults at me too ever since people left MSG & haven't stopped since...you take your little jabs at me every chance you get & have a good ol' time w/ur posting buddies over here at my expense...you notice you rarely if ever can stand on your own on threads i call you out on w/o 1 of your buddies chiming in their support & it turning into a name calling session all over again...that's why i call them your clones...Strider first phrased that one & now i'm borrowing it because i couldn't think of another word that was as perfect as that to describe you & your cronies on this forum.

btw, if you had told me about some unfortunate happenings in YOUR life, do you think i'd be here trading insults w/u? i don't think so...what happened to your friend's little bro is terrible...i'm sorry you had to go through that.

The back and forth between the two of us goes both ways, but look back to the beginning of this thread. I didn't start anything. I just expressed my opinion on a player and you went off on me any chance you had. When you got sick of going back and forth about a shitty player like Walker, you brought up the bad things going on in your life. Obviously if I knew you, I would be quite sympathetic to the situation, but as a poster on a message board who is a know-it-all and talks sh*t all the time to me, I didn't bite at your bait to get me to lay off.

I don't know how many times I have to repeat this, but just because some people agree with some of my viewpoints, doesn't mean they're my "clones" or "cronies." They don't always agree with me. Some of them root for rival teams of mine. Nick Jett and I have been friends for 10 years, yet have gotten into some downright nasty arguments about sports. Terp takes any chance he can get to rip on Duke to me. I don't see how these guys are my clones because they agree with me on my assessment of Antoine Walker.

Funnily enough, I rarely agree with anything the original poster in this thread says, but he was knocking Antoine too.

I saw it after you got upset with me that day and expressed my sorrow. I don't read everything in the off-topic forum, only items that look interesting to me.

Airing stuff like that on a message board is not my style. The only reason I just brought it up is to illustrate that we all have bad things going on in our lives, but don't always mention them to strangers.

this thread i came at you first i'll admit...but there have been countless other times you've made a sly little jab at me too out of the blue just to be a smart ass & try to get a laugh out of people at my expense...the fact that you have your friends posting on this site who usually join in on the "fun" only encourages you obviously...but maybe if you would stick to the sports issues & not bring up immature side comments we wouldn't have half the arguments we do now? & for you to accuse ME of being a know it all who constantly talks smack is pretty much the pot calling the kettle black as far as i'm concerned.

OK anyway, I don't want Antoine Walker on the Knicks, and I hope Isiah doesn't swing a deal for him. It's my opinion. I don't like his game. I don't want to have to watch him 82 games a year.

I have to agree with TMS on this. It is a very good business AND basketball decision to go after Walker. His field goal % may be high, but that's b/c he takes a lot of 3s. But for every 3 he shoots, he takes one to the rack or posts up his guy, successfully. When he has the ball, the entire defense collapses on him b/c he is a huge threat. That is why he makes his teammates better. It may not be his intentions, but it's still there. Sure, he is a ball hog, but he is a ball hog I want on the Knicks. And when he wants to play defense, he can be great. Just look at a year ago in the playoffs when he shut down Jermaine O'Neal.

It's a great business decision, b/c if it doesn't work out, then we can just trade him at the deadline, or let him walk at the end of the year, which clears up SOME cap space, and luxury tax for Dolan, as TMS said. He is better than everyone on our team besides Marbury.

There is a reason that Boston was awesome when he was on the team, and they struggled to make the playoffs, when he wasn't on it.

Two ball hogs on the same team = trouble. I like Marbury, but he's a ball hog. I think I would maybe feel a little better about this move if they didn't get a real point guard last year. That way Walker could bring the ball up, but there's no need for that with Marbury running the point.

Trading him at the deadline is a feasible option, but the idea of clearing SOME cap space is not very relevant at this point for reasons I explained above. They wouldn't be able to sign a player for that amount of money to fit in that slot because they are WAY over the cap. Also as I said, if Dolan starts caring about the luxury tax, we as fans are in bigger trouble than we have been in since Dolan took over for Checketts.

That could certainly be true, but that's more an indictment on the lack of talent the Knicks have than a compliment to Walker.

Boston also struggled with him on the team. They only improved as the East weakened.

Which year are you referring to? O'Neal averaged 22.8 points and 17.5 rebounds in his 6 games in the 2003 playoffs against Boston! That's a monster series despite his team losing.

First order of business for the Hawks' new team-leader, Antoine Walker? Recruiting free-agent center Erick Dampier.

An eight-year veteran and three-time All-Star, Walker said he plans to find Dampier's number and start making a sales pitch.

"If that's what it takes [to get Dampier to sign with Atlanta]," Walker said Tuesday after he and reliable guard Tony Delk were introduced.

Delk and Walker were acquired in a trade that sent Jason Terry, Alan Henderson and a conditional No. 1 draft pick to the Dallas Mavericks.

"I'm going to lobby for him to come here and help us," Walker said. "I'm going to let him know that what we're doing here, he can make better. With me, him and Al Harrington, we can be one of the strongest frontlines in the league."

Walker just might have a better shot at luring Dampier, who is mulling a $55-million offer from the Hawks and a $60-million sign-and-trade deal with the New York Knicks.

General manager Billy Knight and staff pursued the former Golden State big man, but Walker was not on the team then.

Walker said he'd also throw out the idea of making the postseason.

"You've got to always set the goal of making the playoffs," Walker said. "I don't want to promise anything. We're going to use this year to surprise people. We want to be competitive every night, with the playoffs as the goal. And once you make the playoffs, anything can happen."

While the team still needs a center and a point guard, Knight's dismantling of the roster inherited from former general manager Pete Babcock --- did not make Walker and Delk wary of coming to Atlanta.

"We look forward to pushing the team in a new direction," Delk said.

Added Walker: "I haven't been this excited in a long time. It reminds me of when I first came into the league. I'm still in my prime and it's exciting to be a part of rebuilding a team. Hopefully it will be my team. I've learned a lot and experienced a lot. But I know I can't do it by myself."

Forward Chris Crawford is the lone holdover from the Babcock era.

That's where veterans like Harrington and Delk come in.

"You have to have someone to take the pressure off of you," Hawks vice president and future Hall of Famer Dominique Wilkins said. "[Walker] has a lot of opportunities around him to offset his offense. That's very important."

To get where they are "Billy has replaced 11 of 12 players," owner Michael Gearon said.

"He did that because it was a roster that was not competitive and was not fun to watch. . . . And we're not yet finished. We like the direction we are going. It's an exciting time."

Walker, who is in the last year of his contract, made it clear he wants a contract extension. Knight made it clear no extensions are given until earned on the court.

That did not set well with Walker, but it did not break his spirit. "Well, I don't want to spend my career floating around the league," he said. "When you do that, you get a label on yourself that teams can't win with you and you become very expendable. I'd love the opportunity to be in one place for a long time. . . . But I'll let my agent and Billy handle that. . . . I'll focus on playing good basketball."

what a "selfish" player this guy is...i guess Mattingly23 & his clones were right about this guy...to think he actually wants to WIN?!?! UNBELIEVABLE!

on the serious note, this doesn't help the Knicks chances of getting Dampier.

Yeah, the guy is trying to recruit a player to sign with his new joke of a franchise, and somehow that negates everything else that has been said about him by my clones and me, in addition to many other basketball fans over the years. Nice try, tMs.
