NY Post:
I found that interesting. Does anyone have an idea who that player could be? Even if you're not a fan of Thomas you have to admit Layden would have never been this creative in finding ways to acquire talent. Layden would have asked for the Bobcats first round pick  |

not a bad idea, except McKie is an overpaid SG. Otherwise, he's a great defender and 3 point shooter. |

I don't mind getting McKie. He is a player who is very solid as a backup and who only has about 2 more years on his contract. Very tradeable for next season. |

Blue font beat me to it. I don't know his contract situation but McKie is a good perimeter defender, something the Knicks desperately need. He played small forward during the Sixers run to the Finals with Iverson and Snow being in the lineup. Versatility. He could be Shandon Anderon's replacement if Zeke finds a sucker. |

if Zeke can somehow trade Shandon to Chicago for Jerome Williams for example, then i would have no problem w/trading Othella & Mutombo for McKie...but giving up the 2nd round pick doesn't seem warranted when the Sixers would probably be perfectly willing to include their 2nd round pick just to be rid of McKie's contract. ...the other player i hear being rumored is Ruben Patterson. |
