Nothing to really talk about. If I see any rumors I'll post them. There's also no potential 1st round pick to talk about.

There is plenty to talk about. There just aren't any regular Knick posters here, besides myself, TMS and Solace.

I don't really post on the Knicks forums on this board. There's other boards with better discussions. I mainly come here for the fun and games with the kiddies. :agent: :peace:

I'm a Knick fan, but I don't really see anything to talk about right now, unless we discuss what Isiah had for lunch today. I guess we could talk about KT's finger surgery, but that'll get boring.

So, inquiring minds want to know... what DID Isiah have for lunch today?

Ham and American in a wrap with honey mustard and a bag of BBQ Baked Lays. He then washed it down with a Minute Maid Fruit Punch.

I always thought of him as a milk drinker. My image of Isiah is ruined forever. :wall:

He's definitely no Van Gundy with the 75 diet cokes per day.

I thought Isiah had Tony Campbell for lunch today. Anyone watch ESPN classic on Sunday afternoon? They had Pistons-Lakers Games 6 and 7 from the '88 finals, and then Game 4 from the '89 rematch. I wish the Lakers still played in the Forum. I hate the Staples Center almost as much as I hate the Lakers.

You could really hear that dun-dun, da-da-da-dun defense music that they play during Laker games. I used to love when the visiting teams used to get offensive boards and kick it out so they'd have to continue playing that music. The only thing better was the crowd really into it, and then someone like jaren jackson would hit a dagger three to shut those l.a. fools up.

Regarding the '89 finals, I was thinking about that season with regards to the Knicks. If you recall, the Knicks swept the Pistons all four games that year during the regular season. They didn't just win, they pounded them. I remember a 133-111 whipping in Detroit towards the latter part of the season. The Knicks wore them out with their press, their depth, and they forced their big guys to handle the ball which they certainly weren't proficient at.

Anyway, that was the first year that Jordan stuck it to the Knicks. The Knicks had no business losing that second round series to that particular Bull team. If the Knicks had won that series, I really thought they would have had a legitimate chance to beat Detroit in the Eastern Finals. And you saw how banged up L.A. was in the Finals resulting in a Detroit sweep.

Of course, what happened the following year was typical of the Knicks. In '90 they did get Detroit, but after Pitino left and Stu Jackson nearly ran the team into the ground. They had a brutally tough first round series win in 5 games over Boston, and were no match for the defending champion Pistons. Why couldn't they have played Detroit in 1989? Damn that Jordan...

Yeah, as you know, Michael Jordan got me into our league, but I always hated his team. The guy will always be one of my all-time favorite athletes, but I hated him every time he played the Knicks, most of the times killing the Knicks. I still remember his first Finals when he was playing the Lakers and I rooted for the Bulls because I thought Jordan deserved a title. Obviously he did, but I could really have done with about 4-5 less titles and at least one for the Knickerbockers!

I hate Boston, Chicago, Philadelphia, Miami, Jersey and L.A. teams.

And I'm not too fond of Detroit, Cleveland, Atlanta, Orlando, New Orleans, San Francisco, Seattle, San Diego, Denver, St. Louis, Kansas City, Baltimore, Milwaukee, Minnesota, Dallas, Houston, Indiana, Buffalo, Washington, Phoenix, Utah, Pittsburgh, San Antonio, Toronto or Portland, Oregon either. Portland, Maine is okay.

Memphis, Jacksonville, Oakland, Montreal, Cincinnati, Nashville, Tampa Bay and Charlotte aren't among my favorites either.

Come to think of it, I only like New York, and if Bismarck, North Dakota had a team I'd back them...
