According to the NY Post, Isiah will target Mehmet Okur if the Pistons choose to keep Rasheed. I like this idea. Okur would be a solid acquisition and would be a huge upgrade over Kurt Thomas. |

I LOVE this idea. Okur is a very solid BigMan with a decent scouring touch. |

wait, read the article again. I think they said the Knicks should try to pursue Okur. They never said that Isiah will pursue him. Besides, he hates foreign. (Exception Bruno Sundov) |

I believe that the article said that they heard Isiah wanted to pursue Okur from an "Industry Source." Take that for what it't worth. |

the reason I would stay away from Okur is that we have Mohammed. unless we want him to be a backup, we shouldn't waste all our MLE on him because he's a backup, and if we offer him less, he's a restricted FA so the Pistons can match the offer. On the floor, Okur is a good half-court player who can block some shots (a little improvement over Mohammed), rebound like Mohammed and score like him as well. However, he's an unathletic and slow player. He can't catch up with forwards like K-Mart on the fast break. |

where would we have room for a starter than to use up our MLE? pg-MArbury SG-houston sf-thomas pf-thomas or sweets c-mohammed great benches win games. Okur is a fantastic big man backup or even starter. He is a necessity that most teams should have. A good big man to put in. |

Make it happen. We need a young big man in the worst way. |

Okur is not a restricted FA. He only played in D-Town for 2 years. |
