I don't think El Duque's rehab is going well at all. That wasn't my point. I was explaining the logistics behind why the Yankees transferred Hernandez to the 60 day. It removes the player from the 40 man roster.
I have said in several posts that it is nuts to rely on Hernandez as an ace when and if he gets back. So for now, I am going to have to decline the offer on the bridge.
Dam I suck as a salesman. The Yanks have never played it straight with any of their injured players, I don't believe any thing they say when it comes to injuries I would love to see El D make it back but at best it's a very long shot.

Moo, I'm one of the biggest Duque fans out there and I hope he stays healthy enough to contribute like he did today. It's a big "if", but it would be great to see.

Duke won't be ready till Mid July or so.........that's why the put him on the DL just to free up the roster space on the 40 man.
This guy here is a genius! ;)

Ok this was May 7th, After being shut down a week ago due to stiffness in his surgically repaired right shoulder, Orlando Hernandez threw yesterday, and " may" pitch for Single-A Tampa early next week. He was put on the 60 day from the 15 day DL to me it makes no sense just to say it was for a roster spot, Basically he isn't ready because he isn't healthy. My point is IF he was anywhere near being able to pitch it wouldn't be him going on the DL. I loved EL DUgue when he was here but my gut tells me he's not coming back Hell they put Lee on the 15 day DL first and he isn't playing again this year the way it looks now, Karsey what hope do we have for him another 60 day DL man. If he (EL Dugue) comes back and is ready for July I'll sent matt23 flowers and you a 6 pack.
Start sending those flowers...and I'll take a 6 pasvck of Heiney dogs! I was actually going to go to the store to grab one for alter one....I'll just wait on your special delievery!

El Duque could be a huge boost for us if he returns healthy. With his recovery schedule, he should be ready to come back around mid July if I remember right
- Quote:

don't count him out. He wouldn't cost us any prospects and has proven time and time again his clutchness in big game situations. If, and its a big if, but when he's healthy, he's head and shoulders above any of the guys that are going to be available come 7/31.
This guy isn't too bad either :peace:

You sluts can hop right back on his dick, but I won't. He had a good start and ofcourse I'm happy for him and the team, but I still have very little confidence in him. Going back to moomoo (first post in the thread), if El Duque is our savior or the "big addition", its not good. You bite your lip, cross your fingers, and root your butt off for him to do well, but he's not someone that you can or should have faith in. His age, health, and ability will always be questioned. Like I said earlier in this thread, for as big a payroll as we have, we shouldn't have to deal with question marks or expect the "?" to be our second wind.
To sum it up and be blunt: Fu©k Hernandez, I want Johnson.
