Boone a no-go

Forget about the Sox pursuing their October slayer, Aaron Boone. The team made inquiries about his rehab status and salary parameters and came to the conclusion that it wasn't going to be a fit in Boston.

Boone, who blew out his knee playing basketball in January, is a free agent after having his contract terminated by the New York Yankees [stats, schedule] in March. He expects to be ready to return to action in August. . . .

Who gives a sh*t. 2nd base is the least of our concerns. Go get f*ckin' Garcia!

Freddy will be here, I'm very confident about that! Probably won't be till the end of June to middle July though. :no1:

With Glaus out, I could see the Angels going all out for Boone. LA always needs the offense too.

They have a lot of offense, but with Anderson not set to come back any time soon and Erstad always getting hurt, I could see them doing something, but not Boone. There's only a slight chance he'd return this year. If they get someone, it will be a healthy someone.

Rex Hudler was on The Michael Kay Show today and said that the Angels have the 2nd best farm system in baseball. He said they could possibly trade some of their better prospects in case they need any help.

Maybe they'll get in the Beltran sweepstakes.

Yeah, imagine that OF? Holy sh*t. They could afford to keep him too, with Moreno as their owner.

Wouldn't be surprised to see them get in on the Johnson or Garcia sweepstakes. They could use the pitching too.
