There is a rumor that the Dallas Mavericks are again trying to shop swingman Antawn Jamison to the Cavaliers. They've dangled him for Zydrunas Ilgauskas in the past but now are supposedly interested in a package with DeSagana Diop, Dallas native Tony Battie and Dajuan Wagner. Star point guard Steve Nash is a free agent and the Mavs already have four massive contracts in Jamison, Dirk Nowitzki, Antoine Walker and Michael Finley.

They also need defensive centers (Diop and Battie are better than anything they have in that department) and want to move Jamison and Walker to make room for talented rookies Josh Howard and Marquis Daniels.

The Cavaliers likely won't bite, even though Silas proclaims he wants another ``big-timer.'' They have no interest in the $58 million still owed to Jamison, and he can't shoot the 3-pointer well.
