Bullpen...we're seeing Quantril come in games in the 6th sometimes the 5th now..rather than his normal 7-8 spot...Gordon is great..but no spring chicken...Mo has been burned a lot as well...we still lack that "Mendoza" type bridge man....You don't wann burn this group at too early..God knows it's top heavy ...after Mo,PQ.Flash.....it's a virtual collection of dogshet.

Mark down today on your calendars. I think I just agreed with something Kocur wrote! Quantrill loves pitching everyday, but he's being used too much, too early, even if he thinks it is ok. He's going to break that 90 game plateau that he almost reached last year (89). Gordon has been money, but with the injuries of his past, you don't want to overuse him. Once this 5th starter spot is worked out, the bullpen won't have to work as much. Lieber should give them some innings, as will Mussina, Brown, and Vazquez. I don't think Tanyon freakin' Sturtze is the answer though. Hopefully Karsay can come back eventually, in addition to El Duque, and work some of these middle innings before Quantrill, Gordon, and Rivera come in.

Posada's injury caused a bullpen shortage too. I'm assuming Bush would have to pass through waivers to be sent down and that's the reason he stayed instead of Proctor.
