Didn't I tell you Mets fans that signing him (along with the other crap pitchers you picke up) was stupid? I know Timo agreed with me, but others called me an idiot. I don't know if I'd swing that deal. Osborne is our only left handed starter. I would be willing to trade him for Leiter or Glavine though. |

we didn't pick up any other "crap" pitchers really.......except for maybe Erickson, but we have yet to see him in the regular season....Bottalico's been awesome, as has Looper.....the crap pitchers we have were all on our roster last season...i.e. Weathers, Stanton, Wheeler, etc.... |

Now that we have Sturtze for our temporary #5, how about trading Osbourne for Stanton. I know he hasn't done well for the Mets, but I think coming back to his old familiar Yanks might do him a lot of good... |

And you think Osbourne's been pretty? I'd rather take my chances on Stanton... btw, check Nelson's numbers from last year. They weren't so bad. Nowhere near as bad as Osbourne or Contreras. |

My prediction is that Sturtze will be significantly better than Hideki Contreras and Osbourne. He will be a serviceable #5 providing stability to the back end of the rotation until we pull off our trading deadline bonanza. :agent: |

- Metsfan, Erickson sucks. He's sucked for years. So does Randy "Cross Between Pettite & An Ostrich" Keisler. - To hell with Mike Stanton. He was inconsistent his last season with the Yankees. They let him go for good reason. At the time, the only FA walk that I didn't like was Ramiro Mendoza, but he has sucked... in the 5 games he's pitched in since leaving. - Tanyon Sturtze will suck. This is a just a "hold the fort with the loser that sucks the least till Contreras gets his head straight or we can make a real transaction" move. If Sturtze makes 2 starts and goes 0-1 with a 5.00 ERA, it'll have been a big accomplishment. |

Listen, El Brujo shut down the Yankee offense in a Mendoza-Clemens matchup in the Bronx last year. He was amazing. And one more thing, what would we do with Stanton? We already have Porn star and Heredia. |

enough of your nonsense, the pitchers you mentioned are either on the DL or in the minors, baldwin was just an option just in case any of the pitchers were either injured or shitty, that's what happened, he came up and sucked and now he will be sent back down!!! |

Is Erickson a veteran? Does he not suck? Aren't the Mets a rebuilding team? Put those together and it was a stupid signing. There was no way he should have been starting ahead of Jae Seo (who is already 27 years old). And what do you know, Erickson didn't even throw a pitch before hurting himself. Does Randy Keisler not suck and have golf balls for eyes? He isn't a veteran, but there was no point in signing him. He's a joke and you wasted your money. Since having a great first half in 2001 and being an All Star, James Baldwin has sucked and sucked more. For a REBUILDING TEAM you would have been better off bringing up Aaron Heilman. He sucks too (which I said in Spring Training last year) but atleast he's not over 30 and there is some possibility of improvement and growth. Hell, its a big step, but rather than those clowns, you'd have been better off bringing up Cashmere (I spell it wrong on purpose). It worked for the Marlins with Trelle Willis. btw - How the hell can you ever call what I say "nonsense"? I'm smarter than you dummy. Every argument we've gotten into about sports, you've lost. |

And Strider was right about him. How many times have I said "I was right", excluding the Rene Russo issue, over the last few days? Back in 2002, I was right about Chone Figgins and Carl Crawford too. I'm always right. Never doubt me. |

And I admitted I was wrong about Sierra. I was also wrong about Weaver, because I thought that was a great move when it happened. Make no mistake  I will not be wrong about Tanyon "I suck" Sturtze |

Yeah, I was right about Weaver too. I didn't think he'd suck as much as he did, but I did say that he wouldn't be more than average and that his Yankee tenure would be short. I'm a friggin' oracle. Bow down! |

And its not too hard to make a prediction on Sturtze. He sucks and will continue to suck. When the D'Rays get rid of you...that says something. |
