i know alot of met fans that don't like healy or hernandez but i like them both, they make me laugh and do have a good knowledge of baseball especially keith, he has a great baseball mind! as for the yankee announcers i don't like kay or sterling but i like everybody else, can't stand suzyn waldman by the way!!!

I like Sterling. I think he's pretty good. He knows a lot about baseball and he's a great announcer for the radio. He explains everything that is going on, describes the opposition's uniforms and the road stadium before the game. I like to turn down Kay(unless O'Neill or Murcer is in there) and turn on the radio.

I liked Tim McCarver when he used to call Yankee games.

There's no announcer in sports I hate more than Tim McCarver. I hated him when he did Mets games, I hated him even more when he did Yankees games, and I can't stand that motherf'er at all when he does Yankee playoff games.

Surhoffs, BRILLIANT! Its Surhoff's first name if anyone didn't get it.

Thanks! My friends and I came up with that when we were about 15. We also used "Armstrongs," as in the former Bulls point guard, and "Billy Joels." We also used "Howard Johnsons" or "HoJos" for short to describe another action. By the way, about 13-14 years later, we still refer to all of these acts using these sports-related names.

i haven't listened to him in awhile, but if i remember correctly, he says "Alfonzo" like "Al-phone-zo"......LOL

Yup, that's exactly how he says his name! It cracks me up every time.

YFF, I too like Sterling, even with his corny calls...
