You're way off base, AF20.

Hey, have you ever heard of that guy on the Royals? I heard he plays a pretty good CF.

No i'm not off base Mr. "Jeter sucks and Bernie should retire even after they helped us win 4 WSs." And what makes you think we are definitely getting him. How do you know Boston doesn't get him?

And what did Boone do for us, besides a series clinching home run?

What has Claussen done on a major league level, except pitch well against a group of minor leaguers AKA the New York Mets?

What makes you think he doesn't become a solid starter, a couple of years down the road? Just b/c he has a 4.55? How do you know what doesn't change? Maybe he's just SLUMPING like every athlete does.

Unnecessary and a silly arguement bringing up the WS.

They have Nomar, Pedro, Varitek, Lowe and Damon to worry about resigning. They don't have the money for him. We're the odds on favorites to get him.

If you think the Yanks would rather have Bubba play CF than Beltran or think doing that is good then you're a f*cking tool and should not even bother to talk baseball with us.

Get it through your thick skull that Bubba's not gonna do sh*t for this team.

What makes you think we don't resign Boone, and he plays well for us for a couple of years?

Face it, we don't win that series if it isn't for Boone. Mo was done, and they'd score off of the rest of the sh*t we had in the pen. Boone did something that no one else on the team did, hit Wakefield.

I'd do that trade a million times over.

But we gave up the next Koufax!!

a-hole, when did I say Claussen was a superstar? If you go back and put your 2nd grade literary skills to the test, you would notice that I said SOLID STARTER! Not every prospect has to be a superstar, in my mind, unlike yours.

I love the Boone deal still, he hit the biggest HR I probably ever wintessed because of who we were playing and what was at stake. Claussen would have been a nice 5th starter this year, but he may have bombed as well....who knows.

By the way f*ckers - sorry for suggesting Matsui. That was probably a bit extreme. (And yes - I know that trade would never happen. Just wanted to see the reaction.) But looks like Navarro for Garcia has a shot.

You did break it before anyone else though, just had the wrong guy involved in the deal. I'm sorry guys, for those who don't like the move get used to it, I'd be shocked if it didn't happen.

I didn't break it Vinnie - I made it up. Garcia just seemed to make sense.

I'm sure its been talked about by the Yankee brass, especially because he was rumored to go to Boston in the 3 way deal with Cinci involving Boone before we swooped in. I would like him as a 5th starter on last year's squad, but I don't think he's what we need right now. A young, inconsistent potential headcase is not what will help us win more games. To me he has Jeff Weaver II written all over him.

I started it on Friday MM, but the papers were talking about it this weekend. (At least Newsday and Sherman at the Post.)

Bubba would be good as a 4th outfielder/spark plug off the bench kinda guy, but not as the starting CF for the NY Yankees, sir. ;)
