473's right...ESO3 is not in his league. However, I don't think that Bernie is done. He had the knee surgery last season and had already had the bad shoulders, he still hit well in the post season last year. I have confidence in him. Eat your crow when its served up. |

Bernie will hit .280 and Jetes will hit .290. They will get hot and be simply amazing. I don't know why we are all arguing about it. Bernie isn't done. Bernie is god. We lost one fricken game. We are a half of a fricken game behind the sox. Its NOT time to go into panic mode. Its not like Rivera's blown five saves in a row, A-rod is K'ing every time and K-Brown is on the DL. The whole team is fine. The Yanks can win without Giambi and they will win tomorrow. Bernie is infuego!!! :furious: |

I'm not going to get on Jeter's case for the reason that he will find a groove and win ballgames for us. The Jeter who came up in the Bottom of the Tenth and hit a homer into right feild off of BK will be back and the Yankees will be a force. Calm down, he's what, 30? He's a proven major leaguer. He'll bring the average up, and even if he doesn't, if he hits .330 the rest of the way(I don't know what that will translate too in the end) I'm sure the Yankees, and everyone else, will be happy. |

"Ohhh, gee willikers! Why are you guys so mean? How can you say much bad things? We're supposed to love everyone." I call it like it is. I don't care who you are or what you've done before. It is what it is, right now. If I'm a Giants fan and Bonds goes 0-15 (which he might have recently) I'm booing his ass. I don't care what you've accomplished, you're sucking right now. Doesn't mean I don't like you (Jeter's my 2nd favorite player) it just means that I'm annoyed and frustrated by what you're doing now. You basked in the cheers and chants when you were doing well, now take the boos when you suck.
You wouldn't believe how much that statement just pissed me off. Jim Leyritz hit a clutch homerun too. Scott Brosius' shot was even more clutch. So was Tino's. It doesn't matter if it was a few years ago, let's kiss their asses forever. :smirk: He's sucking now, so I'm on his case now. I was on Boone's case last season after that JOKE of an at-bat with the bases loaded. At that point, what happened in the ALCS is completely irrelevant. You don't live in the past. Amit had asked me last year if I'd trade Bernie Williams for Rocco Baldelli. Despite the fact that he's my favorite athlete, it took me 1/2 a second to say "Hell yes". I don't care what he's done in the past, Baldelli has the better future. It doesn't mean that I don't love Bernie, it means I'm being logical and putting winning ahead of sentimental stuff. |

BC has his bad traits and he is an a-hole, but he's still a damn good poster. He's funny and intelligent (though not logical). As of now, he's a better poster than you, half-pint. Maybe some day you'll get there. |

I could careless Strider. He's not anymore of a Yankee fan than I am. and to be honest, I take that as a compliment as well. I don't put as much time into this board as most of you, including you Strider, I have other things to do. |

I like how you said my name that many times in a 3 line post. You love me. And it doesn't take time and energy to be a good poster. You're basically just writing what you think and communicating. ESO3 is an extension of your own personality. Same for me with Strider. Its not quantity of posts, but quality. There could be someone with 5000 posts worth of crap and another with 100 good ones. If I had 10 posts here, I'd still be the man. Why? Because those 10 posts would either bring humor or insight. |

Like I said, I could careless if the majority think Yanks473 is a better poster, as I'd probably be the 1st to say that because he's been around a while with you guys. However, I really just don't care if everyone that I was a bad poster. It's not a life problem here. |

In that case, you should save this thread. Show it to your grandchildren someday. When they ask, "Was he really that great?" Begin the story with, "He was a larger than life folk hero....." |
