This guy is simply a rebounding machine. If he could slim down a bit(the guy on ESPN radio suggested chaining him to a treadmill all summer)I think he can be an effective starter. |

Agreed. But what he really needs is a few inches. Is there any training program that will give him that? |

No, but there are creams and pills... Down the stretch when Kurt Thomas was playing like crap, Sweetney should have been in there. I hope that we're able to move Thomas in the off season. He averaged 11 ppg/8 rpg last season and has a $30M contract. I think Sweetney can put up comparable and possibly better numbers. And where as Kurt got his points from 14 ft. jump shots, Sweet gives us a post up player. |

right, but Mohammed at C, KT at the bench. we have two rebounding machines and excellent post up players (unlike KT) on the frontcourt, Sweetney plays like Brand and dunks crazy, Mohammed dunks over all the players in the east. TT will try to beat the critics and tell the world that he can average more than 5 rebounds a game with his big height. Overall, he's a good transition player (not H20) who can run the court with Starbury. If H20 is hurt, I would put Dermarr in the 2 hole because he showed us that he can do a lot on the floor. He can dunk and score from everywhere. If H20 is healthy, he will be a good, not great player. Marbury is going to be great next year. He won't get injured from playing too much. |

I agree, I didn't really like the pick of Sweetney when Collison was still available with the mindset that if you're going to draft an undersized forward you might as well draft the better all around player, ( maybe this was just me being a KU fan) but now with Collison's shoulders f-ed up and Sweetney really showing me some stuff down the stretch I'm glad we picked him |
