I'm pretty desperate right now.... My Core i7 pretty much got vaped, but Intel needs proof of purchase to RMA it... and I've lost my receipt. Does anyone know if it would be possible for me to get proof of purchase from where I bought it? I know they keep credit records, but I paid in cash and back a few months.... I still have the barcode they scanned it from, and am pretty sure I have the day I bought it.... |

Where did you buy it from? That will determine a lot. Depends on if you talk to a nice person or a horrible person. And the barcode won't help. That just tells the computer at the store how much it's worth. Scanning it won't help. You'd have to remember the exact day. :/ This shiza is a hassle. I was really hoping that it wasn't fried.... |

Well... it appears to have survived. I gave it a break, and now it will boot again. Anyways, pretty much I pushed the wrong button and OC'd my ram and fsb to 4ghz (usually runs at 1.6 MAX). |
