Huge fan of her accent. It works perfectly with the feeling of the song. |

Massive Attack is what got me into House. I love Massive Attack! I heard Teardrop playing on the tv so I sat down and discovered House. |

That is so weird, I was listening to Teardrop when I entered this topic. Their entire album (Mezzanine) is a great album. But onto the subject itself: Personally, my favourite genre is ambient. Video games and movie soundtracks often work well. Electronica, and Alternative Rock are also good to listen to. To list specific artists off the top of my head... Massive Attack (electronica), Radiohead (alt. rock), Jerry Martin (game), and Thomas Newman (movie). I'm not going to go into too much detail, but other worthwhile mentions, are Amon Tobin (Splinter Cell Chaos Theory), and of course, Metroid series.

Back in the day, limited to 16-bit technology, the composers of then created what could be considered masterpieces. So what if they were made for the technology of today? It is in my intention to try to bring songs of old into the technology of today: http://www.youtube.com/user/DaDude261 | |

Hey it's been a while! What the fuck! Let's talk music. 1) PENIS: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RWVmoxcnBRU 2) This song has been a hit with everyone I've played it for lately, so while I've known about this band for a while now, here you go! GIVE IT A LISTEN YOU'LL LOVE IT: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yCRqK8_w6EI 3) So I didn't really like Passion Pit. But then I saw them live ("ey fuck it, sounds like you can probs dance to it; I'll go!"). Now I keep looping Sleepyhead. It's not fantastic, but it's quite catchy, and great on a dancefloor. If you haven't heard it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4zherMkcXdo 4) I downloaded the soundtrack to DJ Hero a couple of days ago. GODDAMN. That shit is intense. The game is already fun, but I didn't realize how listenable the tracks are. They sometimes get a bit excessive with breaks and scratches (to keep them fun in the game), but I've had a lot of fun just listening to the whole collection on shuffle. Sample: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cdtg1TYXvTk 5) I've been introduced to The Bloody Beetroots by a number of people now, but I only really like one of their songs. But HOLY SHIT do I like it. One-hit-wonder electronica duo? A new concept to me, but here you go: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rvNTrvJorbs 6) A few of my friends have stumbled upon an entertaining dubstep Israeli who calls himself Borgore. His music kind of speaks for itself: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yJYfOXe5zLc |

okay so I feel I oversaturated my last post with goodies so today I bring you just 2 songs. 1) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ckcsFZx-xA I can't decide if this song is more awesome or funny. Definitely a bit of both. 2) It is absolutely necessary to support budding musicans. And this guy is, in my opinion, pretty good. http://soundcloud.com/sm1le/sweetdreemz Fan him if you liked that! http://www.facebook.com/pages/Sm1le/143495595668246 It's not THAT different from the original, but I still appreciate it quite much. |
