I don't really know where the Superstar Saga hacking community is at this point, but I was wondering if a sprite hack is feasible?
I want to change Mario and Luigi's sprites with my own, but I couldn't really find a way to do it in yoshi magic.
big respect to you guys, this game is baller and doesn't get the attention it should in these areas

Who are you calling an old man?

That's because Yoshi Magic doesn't do sprite editing (just viewing) ... You can edit them in a hex editor, though... If I recall correctly,... for the graphics/pixel data, Field sprites are compressed, and battle sprites might be uncompressed. - Exactly which tiles (and their placement on the screen) are used... will require editing the animation data...

Actually compressing the graphic data may be unnecessary if editing directly, since one could toggle the individual sprite's compression bit.

Don't mind me, I'm nothing but a spoiler.
