Who are you calling an old man?

Stuff I'm interested in keeping tabs on. (Not in any order.)

Facebook banking (I don't think they are going to be a bank themselves, but instead, make it so that you can use your banks on the site... makes transactions with friends easier, I think.)
Facebook Anonymous Login (It's to be the new log-in button third-parties use.)
Google cars (Automatic self-driving.)
Smartwear (Ex: Watch/glasses/etc.) iWatch, G Watch, etc. ; Pavlok can zap or fine you if you fail at goals, or can reward you.
internet.org (Owned by Facebook, but a partnership with other companies.)
Oculus Rift (Bought by Facebook, of course.)
Space Elevator (TODO: See what the smallest/microscopic rocket would cost.)
Java 8 (JDK) - It's already out, but I might want to see what may be coming if anything.)
Solar panels (And their pricing via buying or renting.)
DDR4+ - Uses less voltage, faster in speed, and has more density/memory capacity from having smaller resistors.
Better battery tech

Private/Public Key Encryption - Encrypted email - The private key belongs to the owner of the message and not the company hosting the message. Everyone else sending messages to the subject encrypts with a public key. (Technically, one can easily use this encryption with unsecure email and sending encrypted text, but for companies to add this makes it work so no one has to bother copying the encrypted text to a decryptor.) Note: The number 1 reason for being interested in this is that it may decrease the "stealth" attribute from unauthorized readers. (Not sure if it would eliminate it or not, however. Malware, cough, cough.) , That, and you have to be sure you're using an encryption that doesn't have vulnerabilities/back-doors/etc. Thus, your best bet will be to always encrypt with your own encrypter.
