This is a list of applications worth having/downloading. As well as a list of websites to keep tabs on. (Usually ones that provide apps/extensions/plugin/etc.) Information can apply to registry hacks. The goal of this list is to show most things that may be wanted when starting fresh on an OS. This list will be updatd over time. (It will be pretty huge.) APPLICATIONS: Internet browsers/messengers: Firefox Chrome Skype Video/Screen/Audio Recording: CamStudio iSpy (Seems like cam surveillance software, but it's cool because it's open-sourced. I find it somewhat confusing, though.) HEX Editors: (Not sure of any "good enough" ones yet.) Translhexion? Windhex? Hex Editor Neo? (Shareware) Hex Editor Workshop? (Shareware, I think.) Emulators/ROM Editors: VisualBoyAdvance DeSmuME (http://desmume.org/) Double Helix = Metroid Fusion / Zero Mission editor. Lazy Shell = SMRPG Editor (http://home.comcast.net/~giangurgolo/smrpg-rom-hacking/) 3DS Explorer (3dbrew.org = 3DS info) Lunar Magic (http://fusoya.eludevisibility.org/lm/program.html) = smwcentral.com is a popular site for SMW hacks. Game Designers: Zelda Classic (zeldaclassic.com) Game Maker Run as CD: DAEMON Tools = (I think?) Other/Misc: John's Background Switcher EXTENSIONS: Flash Player Adblock Plus Edited by Teawater, Feb 4 2015, 11:28:16 AM.

Screen recorder: I used Fraps, though I did buy the full version. I used the demo of it a while before I even purchased it. I have never once been dissatisfied with it. As for Hex editor, I used HxD myself. This one is free. |
