Hola! Anyway, I think I have found something that relates to the backgrounds used in battle. In this section, it would seem that I can index both tile arrangements and the palette used. Unfortunately, it does not seem to change the tiles themselves, this is in a different section. It might edit the upper screen as well, but it mostly seems to be the lower screen (or at least, the upper screen can be removed with some combinations, or messed up with others). There must be another section for the upper screen, making the lower screen dominant in choosing which takes priority. 00670000 - Tile Placement and Palette indexing And if anyone wants to play around with it, possibly to help record map data, this is the fastest background that one can access. 00670068 - Peach's Castle (used for Bowser battle near beginning) Unlike in Superstar Saga, her castle is not the first background available. Oh, and here is an image. ![]() This is one of the areas inside Bowser's body, but it uses the castle's tiles instead. This means that there is a different section to index this, I think. Have a nice day.

The first three backgrounds are RANK UP backgrounds. In different colors... I think they correspond to Mario, Luigi, and Bowser. And then the following background (Which I'd prefered to call the first "true" background) is the one you see in the Bowser tutorial... Also, all the background for both screens seem to be here as well. A little note, each background uses 8 pointers. The first two, well, atleast the second one anyway, is for the Char data (pixel data), and third is the palette, and the next three are the map data... ; The top screen are the following eight pointers... It seems the only difference from PIT is that they are shifted over 32-bits. Edited by Teawater, Mar 16 2013, 05:29:22 PM.
