You can't format NTFS system with floppy disk and also you can't format boot drive or drive containing system files from windows (with the Disk Manager (xp)). First of all you need a XP bootable CD. You need to change your BIOS setting for that to boot from CD. I hope you know how to set it. Boot from your XP bootable CD. Then after sometime you will be asked whether you want to format or you want to make repair. Hit "R" . It means Recovery Console. You will be listed with the system installed and now select the system as 1,2,3 . You will be able to start only one at a time. Then, now type "map" without quotes . and note down the drives listed. Now type "format c: /NTFS" without you can replace NTFS with FAT . In this way, you will be able to format all drives and also you can partition them. Let me know if this worked.
