What is going on at kidsgrove!!! It's easy to critasize and I think you can only comment when you actually know what's going on behind the scenes but I can say this has happened before when the budget was cut a manager came in with a small budget he only lasted half a season, what've the expectations, the only person that has the answers is the chairman he picks the manager and he gives the budget the manager can only work withbwhatbhes got does that make him a bad manager What's the point of going to the shop to buy a mars bar when you've only got 20 pence Hope kidsgrove win tonight to reward the manager and players |

If people can only comment if they know what's going on behind the scenes, I may as well close the forum down now!! I think we have realistic expectations. I wouldn't expect us to see us at the top of the league, but we should be looking to compete with clubs who probably have similar budgets to ourselves - the likes of Rainworth, Market Drayton, Loughborough etc. |

I don't know what happened last night, but the fight in the team was totally different, the reason maybe because it was Newcastle, or wardy down watching, or my view they wanted it for the grove. Alot of communication on the pitch, the back four were well organised, dave pulled of two great saves from castles only other real efforts, which was critical.midfield ran their socks off, jj had a blinder on the wing, kinsey did everything apart from setting traps for the castle players, On the whole every player out their deserved 10,To me that was in my top three performances over the last 5years, not just on the fact our position, but I've never witnessed that much desire to win by anyteam, anywhere. So praise when it's due indeed. It goes to show with the right system and desire they are capable of anything. Also running of the ball was incredible, we kept it well, created lots of chances and weren't far off with any of them . |

Must have been good! Cracking result last night, let's hope we can use this as a springboard now for the game against Gresley on Saturday and the massively important trip to Hucknall the week after. |

Great result and as Reece says, all the lads deserve 10/10. JJ was quite brilliant and scared the a**e off Castle who I think last night probably gave the worst performance by a visiting team. Whether this was because they were playing us and forgot about how they normally play I don't know but either way it was a great win for us, we just need to perform like this every game. Still however think we are a very long way from safety as we were not tested at all last night and really, we should have been two up at half time. Think also Shotts deserves some praise as the lad ran his legs off and chased so many lost causes. Cannot see how the manager cannot start every game now without JJ. Good to see Wardy last night, maybe the lads were trying to show him what we are capable of or did he give the team talk before the game!!!! Well done once again lads, keep it going. |

Reece maybe the players did ur for the current management as the romours go around they are getting sacked. I know the players back the magagement team and so should every1 else just like the Liverpool fans back Rodgers. Rome wasn't built in a day and it takes time to rebuild a squad. |

Think maybe the management at last listened to the fans, the management finally started JJ & as we all saw last night he caused havoc & Newcastle couldn't cope with him, whereas how they expected him to cause havoc playing the last 5 minutes of games is poor decision making. I do believe the management that are now in should be given the chance to prove themselfs & have not had the best of luck with injuries. Hopefully it's onwards and upwards but as I've said before its a results business & if it were we started losing continually again then changes may have to be made future performances will tell. As for rumours managers should expect them to circulate when teams are losing week after week, the chairman should show his support to the management by coming out & squashing the rumours. Although must say one of the rumours I heard was at the ground last night how true the rumour is I don't know as they support Kidsgrove anyway but either way the performance was better than Mickleovers away & that was fantastic. |

Mark Hughes will be the first to go in the coming months and if Rodgers does not get any results he will be got rid off....remember they got rid of their all time playing idol in Kenny Daglish and also as Dogbox quite rightly says "It's a results business". Lets keep our fingers crossed that we can keep on winning!!! |

Well someone last night mentioned di canio and his passion. So I Ive described the grove as Liverpool cause they are starting a fresh just like kidsgrove are. Like I said these things take time and the management need time not just half a season like the last time the budget got cut and russ batho got the sack. Then the new manager got a bigger budget if John Rowely wants to cut the budget he has to give the guys a chance and back them 100% because he is to blame aswell if it all goes wrong. So if the current management staff are in the firing line should John Rowley be in the firing line to ???? I say yes because he wanted a fresh start with a cheaper budget. This season was always about staying in the league one more win an we move higher up the table. The grove haven't being playing that bad just not had any luck Infront of goal and hopefully last nights win will be the start of kidsgrove moving forward. |

Jonnie Im a betting man rite I will have 50 quid on if Liverpool win nothing and only finish mid table Rodgers won't get sacked. Also mark Hughes has brought over 15 players this season and qpr have been one of the biggest spenders. Rodgers hasn't had the same budget as kenny did, just like Shaun hasn't had the same budget as wardy. |

Why are people discussing the bin dippers on here , what next the Man Ure ? Got to say for the record the bin dippers should persist with Rodgers , their fans should not live in the past and expect instant success , he will come good IMHO ! |

Sometimes out of adversity good things can come and last night we witnessed that. After what must have been a shambles on Saturday things could have gone two ways. Heads down or come out fighting. I have to say it is great credit to all concerned that it was the latter by the bucketful. Castle are anything but a poor side from what I have seen but last night the effort and commitment from Grove reduced them to looking average in the extreme all over the pitch from first to last. Much credit has been given quite rightly to the two young lads but for me it was Shotton and Kinsey who set the tone for the side. With the ball they always looked dangerous and out of possesion they demonstrated exactly what is meant by defending from the front. I have to say I was a little surprised to hear the barracking of the manager from a small section of supporters at every opportunity early in the game. The culprits became very quiet as the evening wore on. Too much store it seems to me is put in managers who rant and rave on the touchline by some. Animation doesnt always equate to ability. I have stood and listened to some so called demonstrative managers and coaches who in truth spend all game spouting the first garbage that comes into their heads that lead to confusion and ill-discipline and not a lot more. Given the hand the current Grove Manager has been handed there didn't seem too much wrong with his teams motivation or organisation last night from where I watched. I would suggest he deserves a little more backing from the supporters I mentioned and I have to say a bit more respect than to have a replacement management team hovering in the wings waiting for the next poor result. Anyway enough of that. I havent watched too much of Grove in recent times but I would guess that was up there with the most commited of performances seen in recent times? |

Although results haven't been great this year, and certain performances have left a lot to be desired, I have to say it's difficult to fault the commitment shown by the players so far. Even at 6-0 down last Saturday, they were chasing down the ball, and putting the tackles in, so it's nice to see them rewarded with a good win. When you've got people in the team like Craig Dove, the Taylors, and Liam who could easily have found another club over the summer but stuck with us, it certainly promotes a feeling of being "in it together" |

We all know kidsgrove short comings financially but that team isn't a fresh one there are players in that team who could easily go elsewhere and earn double what they get at kidsgrove and that includes the likes of latest additions namely parky n grigsy kinsey shotton to name a few I know from first hand knowing them that they stick together because they all have great camaraderie having played a number of years together on the circuit so this team is a mid table minimum !! So I don't take that there building nor do I accept that although a future player in the making both jack and Jj are the answer week in week out in this league great performance Tuesday aside Newcastle are in a false position as they lacked any ambition I have been most games this season and the Shaun debate will go on me personally think its not about his lack of passion it's his tactical nouse some of the decisions he has made in games we could have won beggars belief I just think although he probably is a thoroughly decent guy I think it's too big a step for him only time will tell but we haven't got time?? Think there will be a change personally maybe Bucky coming back into the fold Gresley will be totally different kettle of fish Saturday we will see then if there's progression |

Doodad, Good post ,but I get the feeling you are in for an earful from an indignant Nathan, however today is a different kettle of fish as you say. Thought that Grove played well on Tuesday night against a surprisingly average Newcastle ,perhaps the main reason was that Groves defencekept their No 9 quiet, did he get any joy at all ? |

Reece , Not saying that Big Nev is no good but even the best can only play as well as they are allowed, on Tuesday our back four kept passing him on to one another with Parky keeping a close watch consequently Nev never shone like people expected him to, as for you knowing nowt about the beautiful game it was obviuos that the big man has ability it just happened that he was very closely shackled by Grove,s defence, maybe your "spying " had been noted by the management team. See you later at the match, hopefully another three points, or one at at the very least, I note that Gresley lost to Romulus in the cup during the week, hope we don,t suffer from the backlash, if Romulus can beat them we must most certainly be in with a shout. |
