Great performance, I get the feeling that the lads are playing for each other, K,A,F,C and personal pride at the moment. After halftime I went over to look at our leftside defence when young Jack Sherrat came on, I personally think that this lad has potential , whether it is enough for this level only time will tell but Taz and Dyss were talking to him all the time and he was responding pretty well. Thought that Danny Skelts would have been the M,O,M cos he was having a blinder till he had to be substituted, didn,t understand the replacement (Ash Hill) coming on it could have been a ideal chance to drop Kins into midfield as playmaker and push J,J alongside Shotts with Griggsy supplying , Shotts is on fire at the moment it must be a nightmare trying to defend against him. Good result league wise but we need to keep up some sort of momentum to recover our league position as other results went in our favour yesterday. Thanks lads for rounding of a good week for me personally, came back off of my holiday to watch a good win. Referee ?, I,m giving a solid 6.5, couple of iffy decisions but in the main he was not the worst we have had at the Grove by a country mile, line officials likewise. |

It was the result we needed, and at the risk of sounding like our favourite Grantham fan, it just shows how far a little bit of luck can take you when the woodwork's on your side! To me the thing that stood out was the effort from the players - that tackle by Dovey around 10 mins from the end summed it up - he was never backing out of it, hurt himself in the process - real commitment and I though he had an outstanding game. As has been said, Shots is in great form at the moment as illustrated by the superbly confident finish for his first goal and we can't forget Dys' penalty save at 2-2 either. Really good to see the team acknowledge the fans at the end, which to their credit they've been doing throughout the losing streak - it's much appreciated. Have to agree with Honda that we need to try to build a bit of momentum now, afew points will see us move a long way up a tight league. |
