Barry -u lost, so go back to your little world and long haired , unshaven , 6 fingered , sad excuses of a human being u call your fellow freak fans who showed last night what idiots you are. Your lot in our club house made it smell so bad , it's no wonder some of our fans stayed away , your reputation proceeded you. We showed u lot how to behave off the pitch , but that's not difficult really. As for fan base size , yours is the club who have lost more fans as opposed to those we have gained in the last 15 years. |

craftman, the gate last night was 138 and roughly half were leek fans if not more, now regardless of personal hygiene they gave your beloved club around £1k(regards to entrance fee, food, programmes and beer)approx. also on a night when Crapello and his lot were under performing, surely you must be grateful for this in these economic times???so dont insult a certain individual/group in this manner, ungrateful is the word that springs to mind. Leek lost i bet your really proud to beat a side whose starting eleven was missing six players that will be starting on Saturday.so well done Kidsgrove for beating in effect Leek Town reserves on penalties.Lets see who is celebrating after saturday in a league game when both sides should put out their strongest available sides and also who finishes higher come the end of the season because i havent known this kind of optimism about a new manager ever at Leek Harrison Park will be rocking!! i hope all kidsgrove fans will come down(flags, drums, trumpets as well)i for one will welcome you all with open arms.Dont let one mindless incident or false promise after deter you from supporting your club on the road in what should be a good day.Maybe this is me being a little optimistic but i hope not.

Look forward to seeing your six changes. Kidsgrove, of course, didn't have any players out injured or have on the bench players who normally start matches. I expect you should easily beat us on Saturday with all the star quailty you're going to unleash. I would advise whoever wins on Saturday to realise it's just one league game and not to celebrate too wildly. At the end of Leek's victory last season I remember the whole place erupting like you'd won the league. Didn't win a single game after that though did you? Anyway, enjoy the game. Won't be there myself though. |

As they say you can only beat whats put in front of you , six out or not , who cares apart from you . ( We were missing 4 first teamers for the record ). Crowd size who cares , Leek are not rivals to us , thats why the locals preferred to stay away from your truly distgusting supporters , who whatever you say are renowned by many fans we visit throughout the league as the worst behaved , whether visiting or visited. We wont bring many to Leek , purely as we dont want to put money in the pocket of your chairman , who is dishonerable at best , and to be intimidated by the local fruitcakes like last season. For a club who played in front of 1500 regularly in the Conference , 200 fans is now one heck of a drop if crowds mean anything to you !!!! We are probably a smaller club than Leek , but our fans respect and care for the clubs image , something the followers of Leek could do well to copy. As for comments re hygiene , appearance etc , listen to what your fans sang last night , ( Copper /kettle comes to mind ). We dont care about your new manager , what he does or how long he stays , so please go away and post on your site

Seen a lot of shite posted on here by other fans - can't really be bothered to rise to their baiting, which is infantile at best. As to us 'being grateful' for bringing 'so many fans', they brought no more than shepshed, only difference being that Shepshed were not neanderthal in their singing, and we would have had more home fans. It annoys me that people (our fans included) really have no idea how little money football clubs make on a Tuesday night in a mickey mouse cup. Although gross takings may be close to £1k (as suggested), by the time we have taken out a share of the gate to Leek (plus their transport costs), referees fees (who get more than the average player!), cost of stock in the bar and kitchen, programme printing, floodlights, etc we are lucky to make £300, and we are supposed to pay the players from that! Shame that the atmosphere between these two rival clubs has been so much muted but I am with everyone else in that I can't be arsed in singing at them even when we are winning. It would be like taunting a naughty special needs child - just no fun as they could only answer you with F*** off! I am looking forward to renewing the old 'Newcastle Borough' rivalry though - shame we have to wait til xmas! As the demand for travel for this game is virtually non-existent, we are not taking a coach or even the minibus. There are one or two people interested in going, though, who can't drive, so if anyone has any free spaces in their car let me know, so that everyone who wants to go can go. I'll be going and may have a spare place or two, (the wife says she will never take the kids there again, which I suppose is an endorsement in itself). |

Oh, and all this boll***s about fielding a weakened side - who do you think you're kidding! Competition rules state that your starting eleven must consist of at least eight established first team players otherwise you risk a fine of up to £500 - we know this to our cost when we fielded a weakened side against Stafford Rangers some years ago. And with Leek's chairman being on the League committee, I am sure they would not risk that. The fact that there were 'six changes' from the side that played at Goole probably improved their side since they got well beaten there - certainly the football they played in the first half on Tuesday was better than the typical Leek Town play of the last few years. Like us though, they will struggle to play their football on their cabbage patch of a field. |

On a serious note, the league really do need to look at their cup competitions. They seem to be universally unpopular with the clubs and supporters and come at a time of the season when clubs are already starting to struggle with fixture backlogs caused by more prestigous FA competitions. The fact it seems to be virtually impossible to get knocked out of the bloody things doesn't help matters. Going to one single competition would surely be a good move (seemed to work in the NWCL) and if we kicked off a week earlier in line with most other leagues, they could schedule the first round on a Saturday which might make the fixtures a bit more appealing. |

Common sense and the NPL committee don't seem to go hand in hand (for instance, loads of meaningless cup games, but the only league with one-legged play-off semis). |
