Interested to see on Leek's website yesterday that they had put in 7 days notice of approach to Karl Charlton (plays in defence or midfield). Even more interested to see in the Sentinel today that he has actually signed for us! I think Wardy has brought in him to create more competition for places in our small squad, but it definitely seems to be a coup for Wardy with not only Leek looking at him but also Newcastle Town, Market Drayton and Camell Laird. With the walking wounded improving day by day (Tom Urwin and Craig Dove may play a part on Saturday, if not today), things seem to be getting back on track.

alot of fans stayed away tonight due to the incident at leek away, thats why the flags were not out ,it looks like most grove fans will not be going leek saturday ,they feel they dont want to put money in a club whose chairman betrayed us.I feel the atmosphere and flags will never grace leeks ground again, SHAME

to be fair i thought leek were the better side for 70 minutes , we looked clueless and in a state of depression, picked up last 20 minutes great header from shots, great dave walker goal put us in front , cope levelled for leek in the last minute. 4 great pens did the trick after leek missed 1 and steve saved another, played very poor for 70 minutes and still won, lucky on the night, hopefully groves confidence will return now

Like the rest of the league, they probably don't care less about this competition. Plus Leek are a bigger club, don't forget.

Some cracking attendances last night (138 at Kidsgrove was the heighest): 44 at Cammell Laird, 41 at Lincoln, 62 at Grantham, 55 at Spalding.
