Game is off today - pitch is still frozen.

I think we are going to attempt to rearrange it for Monday - watch this space!

After confirming officials availability for monday Leek town opted to let the postponement stand and leave it to the league to rearrange. Gutting, now end up playin mid week and likely hood attendence be down.

Well its doing your club a favour. With stoke at home there wouldnt be 250 cause your fans would rather go and watch stoke than kidsgrove

If the situation had been reversed, just imagine the outcry there would have been on the Leek Town forum. I can just imagine the official news item: "Leek went to the trouble of offering an alternative, even organising the officials but Kidsgrove were inflexible and wouldn't agree to the change"

I couldn't care less about Stoke, plus I always thought football was about scoring goals on the pitch not attendances, a point that the likes of Leek, Witton and Grantham seem to have forgotten...

Disappointing that Leek couldn't help out with rearranging the game for this week. Tom tits comment that they are helping us out is laughable - the game will now have to be rearranged for a Tuesday night in all probability - does Tom think more people woud come to a Tuesday game in the middle of Februray/March than to a game in the holiday over xmas? In any case, we need the money now, not later in the season, especially with only one home game in january.
The boot will be on the other foot sooner or later and Leek will one day be asking us to help them out, whether it is a fixture change or some other matter - I somehow doubt that help will be forthcoming.

Yea but two days after the game was postponed is a bit short notice if you ask me. Players do have families and at this time of year when they have got plans, they aint going to want to change them just so they can play a football match

Im not a big fan of Leek , but lets remember that Leek were not oblidged to commit to a rematch so quickly.

Their players like ours have lives and commitments away from the game , and in view of the fact that the weather was NEVER likely to improve , all this slagging is a little embarrassing to say the least.

Take into account that fans may already have made plans , yes Stoke City in my case , family , shopping or even work for some , the gate would probably be much lower than a re arranged mid week encounter.

Lets stop the bickering and face the fact that matches throughout UK non league are in the same boat , live with it !

It's not the rearranging of the fixture that I have a problem with. It's comments on their forum like "They [Kidsgrove fans] should try showing some commitment" and the idea that Leek were doing us a favour that annoy me. To me, that's nothing more than ill-informed arrogance.
