tough game 1-1 fair result, glapwell nothing special, maybe we made them look ordinary,if shots was fit we could of gone 4-3-3 last 20 minutes and won maybe, good point

How can that pitch be acceptable for unibond standard? I know our pitch has a slight slope but they have a small mountain rising from the halfway line. I know one or two of our lads commented after the game that their calves were killing them because of the continuous 'hill' sprints. The pitch is such an advantage to the home team and listening to their fans they kept saying to their keeper and defenders to play it onto the 'sandbank' where apparently the ball held up.

If the unibond are to allow such home advantages then maybe we ought to think of putting an obstacle course or something on our pitch. Maybe something like 'hole in the wall' where the forward has to get through the right shaped hole before he can have a shot on goal. Or maybe have the goals on wheels and have them moving randomly sidewards. If anyone has got further ideas send them in and I'll see if we can get them approved by Unibond!

They do well to get away with their floodlights aswell, very hit and miss lots of darker parts on the pitch there was a time where that would never have passed as good enough.

I don't think we played very well at all, but dug in and ground out a point in a game we'd probably have lost three or four nil last year after the early set back. Hopefully we'll show plenty of that spirit over the next few weeks of tricky looking fixtures.

I think I spotted the ball used for their penalty bouncing down the M1 on my way home.
