great win today, after going down to a early goal, grove battled well , missed 5 0r 6 good chances by half time, matt scored from a volley, then matt put the ball and keeper in the net,tim got the third, this match could of been 9-4 easy, we had 3 pens turned down, the last was a complete joke,CLEAR PEN,a fair turnout from grove, well done lads, great away day.

Not pretty at times and this is a game we wouldn't have won last season but fair play to the lads as we ground out a result and thats what we are going to need to do if we are to do anything this season. Thought Matt Haddrell was immense in the second half - the best 45 minutes I've seen from him this season.

Although Glapwell's game against Wtton in midweek has been postponed due to cup matches, Chasetown have a game on Tuesday against Willenhall and if they win by more than 4 they will replace us at the top, so our lead could be shortlived, but it is still a sweet feeling to beat Market Drayton to go top.

Good win was that, if we can start to play as well at home as we do away we wont be far off and the crowds will increase even more, both home and away.
Well done to all concerned. (get well Grovegirl x)

It was a really satisfying win, especially after coming from a goal down. The highlight had to be the second goal where Matt seemed to bulldoze the ball, goalkeeper and half the defence into the back of the net!

It sets us up nicely for what looks like a very tough four fixtures in December. After Stamford on Saturday, there's Glapwell who could go well clear at the top if they win their games in hand, Witton (judging by their forum they consider themselves too good for this league) and the big Boxing Day game at home to Leek. With clubs catching up on some games, we should have a good idea of our true position by the time the New Year celebrations come around.
