heres a laugh - market drayton, who could have gone top with a win if results went for them had a massive crowd of, wait for it, 68. They lost 2-1 at home to Carlton.
The league's hotting up now - although we are now 2 points clear in second place and still only 2 points behind the leaders Sheffield, there are no less than 7 teams behind us who could overtake us with their games in hand. Obviously they won't all win all their games in hand as they will have to play each other but it shows what a struggle its going to be to stay in the top 5. All's we can do is to keep winning and not worry about other teams, starting with Market Drayton next week.
Glapwell and Belper both won 7-1 and they look as they could be the form teams at the minute. In particular, Glapwell are now 3rd, 2 points behind us, with 4 games in hand. Both Leek and Rushall dropped points again as they drew 1-1 - both teams now seem to be fading away. Chasetown were 3-1 down with 10 minutes to go and won 4-3 to move to 4th.
In the FA trophy 3rd round Nantwich had a great win 3-0 away to Eastwood.

I don't think I should allow any criticism of Market Drayton on the forum really. I for one will be truly grateful, sorry honoured, to be making the trip there next week. There I shall see for myself how a football club at this level should be run, from their many weeks' experience of this division. It's nice of them to spend some time telling other clubs how they should behave too.

I'm sure it will be a friendly welcome. In fact looking at the numbers above, I expect to be greeted individually by each of their supporters ;)

I'm not getting involved in this one too much! Suffice it to say that 3 points will be very welcome next Saturday. More importantly, the 7 up predictor has again rolled over meaning a big payout of £600 next week! £1 a go, you can buy one from me right up to 3PM next Saturday.
For anyone who wants to go on coach next week, it will be leaving at 1PM or thereabouts (45 minute journey on coach depending on traffic).
For anyone who can't make it to Market Drayton, the reserves are at home next Saturday (2pm kick-off I think)
