I think you heard wrong Phleeper :D

Good game yesterday, going forward you looked deadly and if it wasnt for luck and our keeper we could have been dead and buried in the 1st half.

2nd half i think we stole it..just. A couple of goal line clearences and a save from your keeper that i dont think he knew much about . You also had your chances to steal it but overall i think a draw was the best result.

One thing i will say . "How shite was the ref"

I still think that you will gain promotion this season as you look a very good side(not seen Sheffield or Witton yet).

I did notice yesterday your travelling numbers had increased , yet your vocal support was down. ;)

Think Shotto and Matt should be fit for Tuesday. Dave Walker is straining to be let off the leash if either one isn't 100%. Tom Schwarz had nasty gash on head after one too many clashes with their elbow flying number nine - just hope he's ok for Tuesday. A mention for Danny Smith - he was very unwell prior to game and getting off the coach at 1.30PM it looked unlikely he'd play. He said he'd give it a go as we didn't have too much cover and to his credit I don't think anyone could say he looked other than his normal steady self.
Regards the game credit to Shepshed for staying with us when we threatened to overwhelm them in the 1st half. Thought their keeper and centre half (number 4 I think) were best players in their position for anyone we've played this season. They then finished stonger than us and had a couple of chances to win it, although a defeat would have been an injustice I think. With 5 minutes to go you would put your house on Dave Walker in a one on one with keeper and I think with more minutes on his belt he would have finished it. They are in same position as us last season after losing their entire team in pre season and starting the season with an entire new team (bar the number 4), so I think they will only continue to improve this season and could pose problems for a few teams (they just need to keep hold of their best players and we all know how hard that is!)

It was a clash of heads actually.

I too hope that your lad is OK for Tuesday.

Well done to your team for an impressive performance, you've assembled a very good, strong and fit side that will be there or thereabouts if you can repel the 7-day notices!

I echo Mods Mayday - where was the much-vaunted singing from your lot? Very poor - your players deserve better support. ;)

Reason simple mate , the driver to the match put the fear of God into us as he was obviously in a hurry to get to the toilet , he broke 60 mph on a couple of occasions.

Seriously , very good vocal home support indeed , although some the songs are shite !

Our boys were a little below par yesterday , but an enjoyable day all round.

See you in March ! :ph43r: :ph43r: :ph43r:

Says someone with a Simple Minds album cover as their avatar! :P

Shite songs are better than no songs though. So, Mr Cowell, which songs do you reckon were shite?

i thought your songs were fun and good support for the team, personally i dont see the point in fans going to watch their team the and not vocally back them, we had about 30 fans there , only 15 visable behind the goals, the rest seem to make the home attendance look good, always find that very odd , perhaps it could be that its very hard to get a good view behind your goals

Oh by the way, we played very well, both teams could have won that and we dominated in the 1st half but just HOW GOOD was their keeper?????

Ref was a joke for both sides and their number 4 was quality.

The irony is that last season , your tannoy played the whole of the album shown , but unfortunatelty it was STEPS this season.

Sorry , any song that has any reference to the Anus is SHITe , and thats not a pun !

Credit to your fans vocal side , but still dont like the songs mate.

Good luck for the season , bar game at our place.

Get in touch if your coming down , we'll meet your boys for a pint in the clubhouse.

PS Long live SIMPLE MINDS
