Am i the only fan concerned that the club are once again treading the same path as just a few years ago under terry hillman? Players at the club who are on ridiculous money, a dwindling fan base - just how does the club actually survive? In my opinion the club needs to act now - as there is likely to be no relegation this year we should bring in a manager with a solid backroom staff, transfer list the mercenaries and look to build towards a challenge for next season. As nice a bloke as wardy is, its apparent that its a challenge too far. Players needed are ones who are on the up and desperate to do well as opposed to those on the way down. On saturday, kielthy was out of position at fullback as is ayres on the other side. brotherton grafts but is clearly a defender playing up front and how many games has lovatt actually started and finished? heeps is clearly a stop gap whilst coates recovers but the fa cup at rainworth highlighted the flimsy nature of the squad. what happens if ayres goes to alsager? FED UP. |

Exactly. We are making signings of people from lower leagues who look like the actually want to play for us, like Ben Biddulph and Danny Tainton. Kio does well in what ever position he plays because he will always give 100% and on saturday he showed his temper which is not like him. Where have players like Ian Verow and Neil Murphy gone? I saw Verow at Nantwich before kick off infront of the Grove fans. We will be in the bottom 3 at this rate. Sort it please. Expect the attendance on wednesday night at home to be appauling.  Getting beyond a joke now. |

its all going wrong yet again, against warrington we held the line,we looked good!! then comes nantwich and because he wants to include pope we yet again change the most important part of our team??? the defence., yes kiethy always plays well,he has to, and at the game on saturday it was clear why he exploded, out of pure frustration!!!yet again he is played out of position and we struggled, not saying we would of won,but why oh why does this man get away with it, surely to god even the kidsgrove board can see, it is not working!! |

 Groover and all the other moaners who keep having a go about the players lets just put you straight then perhaps you can get behind the lads murphy just had an operation, verow just had an operation, coates another 2 weeks, so you should be thank full that stuart heeps came out of retirement to help out, lets move on to injurys 6 players at the club on monday night recieving treatment, lets move on to peter ward i'v known peter for 45 years and he's always been passoinate about is football you don't see all that goes on when the lads loose peter was close to tears when we lost to chasetown his wife is ill at home but he still puts the hours in trying to get the results and trying to bring in new players without it affecting the budget so he can do without the pathetic comments he's been getting remember last season xmas we where 3rd from bottom where did we finish in the league owe what else did we win i travel to every game and in the past weeks the lads have tried really hard and have been very unlucky against chasetown, belper, sheffield warrington, nantwich and we have only lost because of poor officials.so if you have nothing positive to say say nowt i was given the secretarys job i did'nt wont it but i'm doing it for the club and the lads. so why don't you lot get behind pete and the lads. regards sam brotherton secretary kidsgrove athletic   |

:ph43r: Well Sam thanks for your comments. Fans count , because without fans the club might as well not exist. One way to keep fans quiet is to ban them and keep the gates dropping even further. As no one at the club before now has bothered to talk to the FANS in the last few turbulent weeks , all such assumptions may be made however true or not. No ones knocking the players , just the way a club of this potential is being managed as I believe this to be a results business and managers are judged accordingly. Injuries , bad officials , long grass , low flying UFOs there are only so many excuses that can be made. Peter is a nice bloke ( he's not married to Carol , get your facts right ) but nice does not necessarily mean right. Having watched Grove for 5 years home and away ( not watching because the sons playing ) spending my hard earned cash and time , we FANS do have a right to speak their views including MATT HOLMES. We will be here long after you've gone to pastures new ! |

Yes and i love the club too. I will have my opinion and no i won't come and see you at all. Why should i come and explain myself to anyone? You think this is just me who think this? Well you are wrong. Yes i do know that Wardy cares and why are you moaning at me for asking where Murphy and Verow have gone? I was asking if they were close to fitness yet!!!! Sam, when was the last to you saw me at the Grove with all my mates for 2 games running? I think Boxing Day last year! I have been coming down with one or two people to support the club i love and i get that. Well thanks alot!!!!!! |

No maybe i do not think when i say things on here. But i am thinking when i say this Sam! I AM CONCERNED ABOUT THE WAY THE CLUB IS GOING! What is childish about asking why we are playing badly or how our injured players are doing??? Like i said i pay to watch the Grove not get "put straight" by the secretary. Funny you should single me and my friends out isn't it? Because were young and naive. |

agree pete nice bloke, but he got all these players over 2 years nearly, yourse this is what we are left with , i supported grove for 10 years ,season ticket holder and fans like matty have a right to say what they think, like yourself, fans like matty help the club with the great support we give the club , no one has ever shouted wardy out, leave the young lads alone, we have supported the grove alot longer than most |

ps everyone including large nantwich crowds know what support we give the boys probably ythe best vocal support in the league with alsager when they turn up,so if the fans are that bad how many other clubs would be 4th from bottom and not be shouting for the managers head on the terraces, so give the fans some credit or respect they deserve please, they always get behind the lads and matty is a big part in helping the blue army vocal section and anyone who says we dont get behind them hasnt been watching any games this season, but still tactics lose matchs , we cant keep blaming bad luck, injurys, refs, same old storys, but we keep cheering them on, but wardy not right man , to many bad signings. |

craftsman we don't wont to ban the fans but when the players look at these comments about them do you think its going to encourage them to play better, as for i'm only there because my son plays is a load of rubbish i was not going to do anything when wayne joined kidsgrove but i thought i could generate some funds by doing the reports for the sentinel which last year made the club over £600+ and i did'nt see anyone put their name forward when we had no secretary a week before the season started ,and someone as said we have got players we need to get rid of why not be honest and don't hide say who they are then go and tell the players the reason for the comments these are a good bunch of players who no will climb the league then my guess is there will be something else to moan about |

reece i'm not stopping any one from stating their comments but i'm sick to the teeth of people saying the players are rubbish yes they had great support at nantwich but don't you think we were playing well until the referee failed to spot their number 10 do keo that was the turning point,so all the comments i made earlier are not excuses they are fact i speak to peter every day and he's been trying to get a replacement for matty rhead and wev'e had recommendations which peter goes to check out most nights i had two last night which peter is checking out tomorrow if peter left who would take over and how much would they won't remember the budget when the fans go home, there is a lot of work that goes on before the next game george chiefy lynn sharon and others work very hard i spend 2 hours a day on the computer contacting people so come on lets all pull together i'm sure the season will end on a high note. regards sam brotherton

Yes we would do, but what the fans are asking for is a weekly if not monthy update on things to do with the club by one of the staff. E.G Yourself. That is all we are asking for because we have to guess where players have gone or where they are ect. Which is when all the rumours starts if you understand me? I will be there tonight but lets not have any un-pleasantness please. |

support is what counts tonight i know the following that all involved with the club put in alot of effort we know the money is no longer there , so what we hear we know wardys put in everything and loves the club we know every player trys we know over the last few weeks motivation not there due to fallouts in dressing room, we know some players on to much money and long contracts , good in someways bad in others we know we like all the players, but to be honest only 5 good enough for unibond level not just my view but most of fans, but we never name anyone , dont wont to make things worse we know we get behind the players and these points are only mentioned on alan fans message board( to which we are very grateful to alan) these are reel points, if we had all players fit i would see us maybe 10th in the league |

reece i will gladly answer all the quires the fans have to my best abilty, but when you say only 5 players good enough for the unibond why not say who they are and get it off your chest,if you think the club as problems you should have been hear in 1998 when i ran the youth team i was on the committee then when money was a big issue then when jimmy wallis god bless him left with most of the players i'v been told by stan and alan we have not got a problem if anyone wont's ask me any questions come and see me tonight don't let other clubs see all this sniping not good for the clubs image. see ya tonight. regards sam brotherton |

I personally have no issues where the players are concerned. As long as all the players give 100% , i will back them to the hilt , however badly they may have played. My issues & concerns are , a) The club has NO immediate relationship with the fans , thus leading to potential unnecessary rumours. The fans who follow the club home and away at great time /expense feel unappreciated and are rarely aknowledged by the players/manager. ( win/lose or draw ).c) No aploogy for the Rainsworth debacle , no goalkeeper ( Wayne did his best ) , again no aknowledgement of the travelling fans. d) Continual excuses for poor results , referee decisions balance themselves out over the course of a season , so please ask the question why can we not perform. Please Sam take no offence in any way by any of the fans , as we all have the same goal. But negativity is usually a result of a culmination of poor management communication. |

was at club in 97 and 98 remember it well, most of the things that happened over the last few weeks filtered out on to the terraces via players , lets hope the good times follow with a great result tonight, i am very proud to support grove as i have for over 10 years and will continue to do so,lets hope will we make the playoffs with a late run |
