EVEN THE POOREST MANAGER IN THE WORLD KNOWS HE NEEDS A SECOND KEEPER SIGNED ON AT THE START OF THE SEASON, ESPECIALLY AS YOU CAN HAVE FIVE SUBS IN THE FA CUP AND FA TROPHY. YOU WOULD HAVE TO BE VERY VERY LUCKY TO GO ALL SEASON WITH ONE KEEPER. WAYNE IN GOAL TONIGHT DOES NOT ACTUALLY SOUND RIGHT ALTHOUGH HE DID HIS BEST. LOSE OF INCOME TONIGHT AGAINST A TEAM TWO LEAGUES LOWER IS CRAP. TOMMO

I think it's important to understand why the fans are so frustrated by the current situation. I've watched Kidsgrove for many years and seen us field far worse sides than last night, but they always played near the top of their ability. Last night's performance appeared unmotivated (with a couple of exceptions) and directionless. I feel sorry for those Kidsgrove supporters who'd had to endure a nightmare journey to watch that rubbish. The game itself is not one I'd like to dwell on - we played a bit of football for the first 10 minutes on a pitch that should have suited us and for some reason gave it up in favour of trading long balls upfield with the opposition. I almost feel that we should offer an apology on behalf of the UniBond League so that people don't think that what was on display last night is representative of what takes place week in week out. That's now two seasons in a row we've gone out of the FA Cup to a team playing at the equivalent of NWCL2, depriving the club of prize money and the opportunity for some big games to get the fans excited. On a final note, can anybody think of any circumstances in which Danny Biegus will get off the bench? |
