As for merp though, it is neat that she has spider legs. I mean...um...what's wrong with making snacks? That's like the most important role in the irken empire. |

Glad you like the spidery legs. :) And as for her "rage against the man" - It's not the snackmaking that's gotten her upset, though that's the excuse she's currently using. It's the fact that there's something to rebel against. Her defect isn't her legs - it's her obsession with revolution (a big no-no in the Irken Emprie, for obvious reasons). It just so happens that being a snack slave is an easy thing to obsess over and rebel against. Fun fact: literally all the other defectives are okay with making snacks for the empire. |

That makes sense now, I was confused why she never understood that snackmaking was basically one of the most under appreciated, yet one of the more important jobs in the irken empire. Who else is going to feed everyone (and more importantly the tallest.)? |

Well, truthfully, the snacks they make don't really go anywhere but the Tallest. All other snacks are mass-produced in factories, but the Tallest just concocted the idea of Defective Area 9 in hopes of getting some good use out of those Defectives still capable of manual labor. :) Work conditions are demeaning and miserable, but you can easily get used to it. |

I'm just trying to put myself in the mindset of an overly optimistic irken XD |
