Agreed, Anon. I have a few concepts that were ready for the show but never made it, exclusively talked about at the convention. I think it would be cool to do those... something special that not too many people know about but were official, you know?

We'll be... exclusive. *puts on shades*

Either way, I'll be scripting them soon, so I'll post them up here for feedback when I'm done. =P

Well, remember what I suggested before. While the animators work on the pre-voiced episodes, we can work on our own episodes with the voice actors and storyboarders. So by the time we finish animating one episode, we'll have a complete animatic of another original one (which we can then post on our youtube). I'd suggest a short episode, if we have any short scripts readily available.

Hey, perhaps the contest Slert put up could help us get publicity on Youtube! The winning scripts into animatics, like he said, could be placed on youtube.

Yeah, I was actually just going to edit my post with that! That's two months down the road, though.

Also, I'm not a he. ;)

GHP, I like your idea about promoting activity through social networking, but I don't agree that we should split up each individual social method by each admin. What if one admin is less socially inclined than another? Then that person's social section will suffer. Besides, other people can be left in charge of these things. Cheerleaders were meant to be in charge of these things anyway, remember? (too bad that didn't really work out)

Slert isn't an admin, but I think she's the unofficial head of our dA group by now. And I don't mind doing the facebook, since it's as simple as writing a couple of sentences. That wouldn't take too much of my time. We need people to step up to handle the other forms of social networking.

Yeah I guess your right, but I still think that are admins should help each other to get the word out.

IT just so happens that I have an old short that I believe SIRver wrote way back when, I edited it for grammatical purposes and I'll post it here so you guys can see.

May The Porkiness Be With You."

Scene: Skool Cafeteria. Dib and Gaz are at the "unpopular" table with Gretchin, the Fish Toe Boy, etc. Zim sits at another part of the cafeteria by himself. He and Dib eye each other evilly. Gaz is playing on her Game Slave 3 and Dib is making last minute adjustments to his mechanical fist gauntlet from the Pilot.

Gaz: Oh great, not this again! (Still playing her game slave, doesn't even bother looking up.)

Dib: C'mon, Gaz, you've seen how Zim reacts to Earth food! (Insert Pilot footage here.) The only food that doesn't harm him are from either MacMeaties or the "Space Meat" from NASA! If I can get him infected with Earth food again, maybe I can finally get the evidence I will need for the Swollen Eyeball Network! (Back to present.)

Random Popular Kid : (Walks by with tray.) You're crazy!

Gaz chuckles slightly and Dib glares at her.

Dib makes some final adjustments to his glove and it starts to hum slightly, as if it was charging/warming up.

Dib: I can't wait to see the look on his face when I hit him with...Pork! (Show footage from "Dib's Wonderful Life..." where Zim's having a fit over being hit with a muffin, then change back to present).

Dib is now loading up various Pork products into his glove.

Dib: (Chuckles wickedly.) The little green freak won't know what hit him!

Dib switches out his glasses for a really high-tech looking pair of goggles. Go to a POV shot from Dib's perspective showing him targeting the backside of Zim's head. Next do a slo-mo shot of Dib's gauntlet firing off a pork chop and having it splatter/stick to Zim's head messily. Zim just continues to sit there, looking at the food in his tray in disgust.

Dib: What tha!?!? He didn't even flinch!!!

Dib fires off a long link/chain of connected sausages/hot dogs. They wrap around Zim with a loud "Splortch!" And still, Zim doesn't even notice. Dib growls angrily in frustration.

Dib: OK, now this is getting ridiculous!!!

Gaz: Your mere presence is ridiculous! Now, quit annoying me while I'm playing my game! (Still playing her Game Slave.)

Do a long montage of Dib firing off a barrage of various pork-based products. At the end of it, Zim is buried under a large pile of food, still looking at his meal in disgust.

Dib: Oh, that's it! I've had it! (Throws down his chocolate milk in anger.)

Random Kid: (Points at Dib.) Hey, he wasted his milk!

Ms. Bitters "forms" up behind Dib and Dib puts his hands together and chuckles nervously.

Change to an internal shot of Zim's House, Zim enters and the Roboparents greet him.

Roboparents (Simultaneously): Welcome home son!

Zim, grabs a zipper on his disguise and unzips himself. WTF-it's Gir!?!?!?

Zim, Skoodge, and Minimoose approach him. Zim is wearing goggles and saudering something to a circuit board he's carrying.

Zim: Good work Gir! Somehow, you managed to pass as me today at the Earth Skool! How was it there?

Gir: GREAT!!! I got free food! (Starts eating the food on his disguise.) *Sniffles* I love you pork chop! (Eats more.)

Ah, I see. I didn't remember, to be honest. Good plan, good plan.

Also, concerning the social media networking and minisodes.
Networking - It'd probably be best to have one or two people managing it so it doesn't end up being five people doing their own thing.
AND before posting any content they should have to run it by you, Swib, since you head up IZFAS. All updates/events/questions should come out of your mouth, so to speak.

As for minisodes, they're neat for sparking interest and hype, but otherwise lack purpose and take up time we should be spending on bringing the full-length, real episodes back from the dead. Posting an occasional minisode animatic for promotional/contest purposes on our Youtube would be fun, and good practice for the staff, but our primary purpose should be the unfinished episodes.
Even before we start animating our own IZFAS-original script ideas we should have wrapped up the episode concepts from what was left of Season Two.

I agree that unfinished episode do come first mainly due to that fact the concepts are more developed for the unfinished episode and most of those have already been written and only need to be edited or made offical scripts.

EDIT: I could handle Twitter or something like that, I'm good at quick little updates plus I know how to get to the point with things so I guess I could take that.

I'm for that idea. I mean, we can always build up a backup of storyboards while the animation is happening, and then they can pick and choose which they want to animate next as the storyboarders get farther and farther ahead. Eventually it'll be to the point where there are no more official storyboards to do, so then focus for them and the voice actors can shift to the fan-made stuff.

Or at least, that's how it's playing out in my mind. And, of course, aside from the occasional short.

And don't worry about the contests. I've run a bunch of ideas by Swiblet and am not doing anything without approval in that regard... I want to help, not bring the place down! =P

@Matts Wow, I couldn't help but laugh at the end of that short. That's awesome... I totally didn't see it coming, but I can definitely see it happening. XD
