To tell the truth, I wasn't even phased when I took a gander at the site three days ago. I was more suprised that someone actually noted me about it to tell me the site was hacked. My first thoughts upon looking were, "Hm...this is weird." But my gut instincts were telling me it was a joke so panic was the last thing from my mind. If I'd been on earlier and had seen the infamous e-mail thread, I would've been completely confident of it being a joke. I simply can't picture a hacker bothering to send a warning e-mail when a suprise attack would make more sense. But I digress. Well after Slucer told me, he, I, and a few others started chatting about it. I attempted to calm some nerves as best as I could, but other people panicking gives me the feeling of false panic so it was somewhat stressful. At the same time, it was kind of neat discussing different scenarios of what could've happened. I kept thinking of Clue: "It was Mrs. White with the candlestick in the observatory!" I like mysteries ok?? I only took part in the riddles on the first day. I came back too late the next day so I was utterly confused (and a bit annoyed because I wanted to try the other riddles...I get that from my mom....) when everything was seemingly back to normal. Then I wasted another 5 hours of my life staring at a chat screen and hating how lame my computer was acting. I won't get into how the admins did this and that, because in all honesty, I never was mad at anyone to begin with. I was just wishing everyone could get along and help each other more (Yes, I'm corny like that). There were several times I considered escaping since I fear confrontation. If this had gone on in real life, I would've been slowly edging away to the door. Plus there aren't censors in real life... >.> That's just my take on all this. Of all the stressul things going on for me right now, this didn't really come close. Plus I'm so used to the strangest things happening to me. So now when stuff does happen, I usually just laugh about it sarcastically. To those that suffered the most from this, I hope you're beginning to feel better and that your friendships mold back together. Don't let something like this get in the way of what you had before. @Dee; Best wishes Dee. I unfortunately didn't get a chance to know you on a personal level, but you seem like a smart kid and I know you'll do fine. Good luck. ~Christina |

That was very mature of you Dana, I was hoping members felt that way, and I'm glad some do. For those supposed "cliched" words, they were the most coherent and most reasonable comment I had read this entire thread. I had told G4P not to snap at the other members, it's a shame, but if they want to cry about it, we can't change their minds. Everyone is free to do as they please, however, if they are aware that the decision they made will make them sad, then it's simply their own auto-destruction. (How's that for cliched, Dana? lol) We're admins, not parents; we're friends, not saints; and same as you guys feel insulted for something that happened for one day, we're feeling it for the course of day 3 since the incident ended. We don't need to know anymore, we know enough; sorry for this, but some of you who are so high and mighty about morals, ethics and ethnics, isn't forgiving what we learn in Sunday School among other obvious names aside from good parenting? Food for thought. Just a quick story: when I was in first grade, my best friend and I beat ourselves to a pulp in school. When our parents arrived the teachers had dragged us from the playground, and sat us on the same bench, about 5 feet apart. We both had cuts and bruises, and we both agreed then and there we wouldn't be friends anymore. I don't remember what the fight was about, but I remember I cried on the way back home. The next day, he and I brought sketchbooks, and we began drawing. We've been friends for fourteen years, to a point that wherever we go, people mistakes us for twins or cousins, even today. So here's my thought, friendships grow from disagreements and fights; if after something as silly as that caused it to wreck apart, then it wasn't meant to be. I'm not going to bend over backwards for someone who isn't willing to do the same. For those who want to leave, you have my sincere apologies, and I hope you improve in life, to go on and deal with things in any way possible. In those who forgive us and just want this topic to drop dead so we may go on in our lives and the goal of the project as it should be, thank you. |
