@Nat; That's excellent! I don't think I ever mentioned that I loved your boards too. You capture the IZ style very well! @Cosmo; I love how you've colored it so far. I can't wait to see it with shading. :) |

@ Slucer: Gee, I don't plan on doing everything myself. xD So your help would be very much appreciated. :3 Just tell us which part you picked for redoing so it's not done twice. @ Cosmo: Yay, you've already traced most parts. :D Looks very smooth. We makes epic team! :U The window is a bit lopsided though, maybe you can fix that? @ Dana: Wow, thank you. :3 Edited by Simply Nat, Aug 26 2010, 06:52 AM.

@Dana: Thanks, Dana :D @Nat: Epic team, yes! =D ...what? xDD I can fix it if I erase it and add it to another layer...but I can't really see what's lopsided. OH, you mean that it's stretching out in the bottom? I think I can fix that. I'll see what you mean before I start editing like crazy. |D So far: ![]() I'm not done yet obviously, I'm missing a few things, and I'm going to put another lineart on top; I have to see if I can find the mysterious poster that appears on Backseat Drivers, but not in any other episode. D| The chairs are hell, I might have to re-do them, BUT I think the important thing is to at least have something, after all...most of this is going to be covered by a wall.

Lookin' better and better, Cosmo. :D (Man, that statement was kinda duh xD) So that black blob with the green thingy next to the fridge was actually a calendar? Oh man. Always just found it with horrible resolution where it looked like some sort of hole in the wall with some green light or something. ^^" Oh man yes, the table and chairs are horrible to draw. The letters of the "Kitchen" sign need to be a bright blue, just in case you missed that. You are the master of the fridge, shading and grime look awesome. The window still looks off to me. I think it's mostly because of that middle vertical line in it, it's not entirely vertical. |

There were some things that weren't entirely vertical, so I improvised a lot. You should've seen me this morning when I found out it was a calendar, I yelled: "OOH IT'S A CALENDAR!" Like I had just discovered the cure for the common cold, lol. Yes, I just fixed the kitchen-sign, it was on my to-do list. I also added shade and a little bit of grime to the pipes in the back, and I figured out why it looks so...weird, , lol. Yes, I just fixed the kitchen-sign, it was on my to-do list. I also added shade and a little bit of grime to the pipes in the back, and I figured out why it looks so...weird, that's a print screen, I have to export it, and it looks terrible in JPEG. @_@ As for the window, I think I can fix it too. |

Heh, I'm sorry about the messed up vertical/horizontal lines, didn't even notice it when I made mistakes with those. But in the picture that's here the window still looks odd, I can't help it. : / But yay if you can fix that. Thank you so much! |

xDD no it's all right, you should see how Photoshop makes straight lines *rubbing temples* so it's not like it's your fault lol. I'm thinking of just fixing the window, make the background, and upload it 100%. Like I said, for now, it'll be covered by another wall, so it's not that big of a hassle. |D |

I'd hate to interrupt on a good note of conversation between the two of you, but I just couldn't help to say to myself over and over how wonderfully it's all coming along, the Kitchen, even if the slightest bit not vertical looks incredibly like the real thing, all though I still hope those minor problems become solved later on. ^^ So sorry I couldn't make the meeting, coincidentally I was away for two days; one of which was the day of the meeting. So I decided recently that it may be good if I did my little to help, because recording a squeak all in all, isn't the biggest concern in the project right now... So I thought maybe I could assist with some designs? I've had Minimoose's weapon-structured interior in the progress for a while, but after I mentioned it on another topic it never got spoke of so I didn't think anybody really noticed.. If you guys don't have any objections, would it be cool to post it here maybe when I'm done? ~ |

@ Cosmo, from what I understand, the animation idea sounds good, but I'd probably need it explained a little bit more thoroughly. Since I do better at frame-by-frame animation, the plan is that I'd be cleaning up the puppeteer-animation and doing some of the lip-syncing? Though I'm not quite sure how I'd clean up the puppet-animation because I'm not familiar with ToonBoom's way of doing puppet-animation. With Flash, you have symbols of, say, an arm or something and you basically tween that arm rotating on the pivot point (or something, that was about all I was really taught with puppet-animation). I don't know how it is with ToonBoom, but with Flash, you can't really go in between the frames of a tween and add a separate frame that would clean up the movement without breaking the tween and screwing things up. (if that made any sense at all ><;; ) So, yeah, I'm a little lost on exactly what I'd be doing and how I'd do it. ^^; |

Lol, it's all right Josheh. xD There's a thread for suggestions for the board reel, so any contribution is perfectly fine. :D Thank you for the awesome compliments of the background ;v; The window is being a pain to draw, but I'll figure it out. xD @DBK: I think you can fix in between tweening, you just have to convert the movement into frame-by-frame animation. Something like this. Edited by Cosmographia, Aug 26 2010, 06:03 PM.

@ Cosmo, *right-clicks and converts to frame-by-frame animation* Success! And it was so simple! ^^ Ah, you learn something new everyday. Now that I know how to do that, would my role basically be going through the animations and adding frames in-between the puppeteer-animation frames to smooth some stuff out? Or am I misunderstanding what you guys are talking about? And have we found a way to convert files between toonboom and flash? |

I could do the tipping of the cart bit. Would it be started from the part where G.I.R falls out of the cheese or would it start directly at the part where the cart tips? |

@DBK: Toon Boom exports FLV and Flash imports FLV. So theoretically, if we have a frame-by-frame animator, those parts can be fixed. Then the Flash animators work on their parts. In the end, it's only a matter of getting the FLV's together for a full scene. @Slucer: You can start from whenever you wish, I don't think I have time to fix my animatics. :( |

I am pretty sure the distribution of work or the method of doing the animation isn't finalized. There needs to be a few tests done to figure out the work flow. I'm thinking that frame by frame animators could do animated pencil tests of at least the key frames. The pencil tests can then be cleaned up and colored with Toon Boom which is easier to manipulate and lip sync. Toon Boom can do Puppet style cut out animation or Frame by Frame animation or a mixture of both. Maybe even this won't work but we will find a way if we keep trying different things. |

Wouldn't that take longer? Also, we have to remember, not everyone has Toon Boom, which is part of the issue. |
