Yeah. Steve Ressel agrees. X3 If you watch his commentary, he mentions that he really likes the writing in early eps like Walk of Doom and wishes it had stayed that way throughout the series. I personally like the earlier eps better than the later ones. They're all fun, though. Anyway, after this long, I don't think Nick would really try to bring Zim back and if they did and it sucked I'd cry discontinuity and work even harder on IZFAS. |

Just looked for the script of "The Trial" so I could read it again, and got led to Wikipedia episode guide by some link. There it said this: "In Summer 2010, the season 3 episodes will be aired on Nickelodeon & Nicktoons." o_- Yeah well... Wikipedia says a lot when the day's long

Never trust Wikipedia. Someone might have added that when they heard about the reruns in March thinking it was new episodes. |

Come on, guys, no love for the later episodes? Everyone's saying stuff like "The writing started lagging". Now I feel alone in the respect that I liked the later scripts. It had a fair share of funny (Nubs of Doom, Day of da Spookies) and your daily dose of epics (Ten Minutes to Doom, The Trial). Reading the scripts really made me wish they were animated. Animated back in the time when Nick didn't entirely consist of soulless bussinesspeople. And yeah, Wikipedia is nothing but a pile of well-dressed bullcrap. My teachers even forbid students from using it for research becuase of how untrustworthy it is. |

@ Pockymonster: I actually adore most of the later eps just as much as the earlier ones. I love reading the unmade scripts, too. I think there's a lot of cool stuff goin' on in the unmade eps, like Skoodge becoming more important (yay) and more information on Irken society thingy... also think the Poonchy ep would've been fun. So no, you're not alone

That's what I thought, too. We learn more about the Control Brains and what role PAKs play in not just biology but society. So that's cool. The Return of Keef sounded amazing, too XD I would love to see that animated, especially ZIM and Dib grudgingly playing a pathetic game of pattycake, dancing, and hugging XD |

I really really hope that if it does come back that nobody but the original cast and crew even touch it, or they WILL FACE THE WRATH OF ZIM, AND IZFAS, WE ARE THE LORDS OF IZ, WE WILL AIRJUGGLE THOSE GUYS! |

I don't see anything on the Wikipedia page about it, but I'm sure it was fan-based. (Believe me, I've read THE craziest things on Wikipedia) Plus, I googled it, and there doesn't seem to be any announcement about it what's-so-ever. As for the "like/dislike of the later episodes" I actually liked where the series was headed. I think the difference is that in the first episodes, Zim knew nothing of Earth, so it's funny to see him panic over the silliest things or just act completely clueless; later on, we see how he 'tries to use what he has learned in Earth as an advantage', or it moves on to the Irken Technology. I think that would be the biggest difference. |

iCarly could be good, but the actors are HORRIBLE. FREAKING ATROCIOUS. Victorious, on the other hand, is OK. As for Spongebob, let it die already. It's been 5-6 years since the movie, and things keep going downhill. Make new shows that DON'T suck, I.E. Back to the Barnyard. |

I completely agree with the iCarly thing, aside from jerry trainor, none of them can act, however I never found back at the barnyard to be appealing. I don't know about Victorious seeing as how I have given up on the next great nick show ever coming. But it seems like ever since iCarly nick has been obsessed with putting teenage girls in sitcoms. I.E. Icarly, True Jackson V.P (HATE THE PLOTLINE) And now Victorious. |

@pockymonster I didn't mean to say that I hate the later episodes - of all of the episodes that were actually finished, I love practically all of them (except Mortos der Soulstealer - don't even get me started) I'm just saying some of the unfinished episode scripts are kind of boring. Take Simon Sez Doom - as much as we'd all love to see Zim and Dib in bee suits, the plot with hypnotizing the babies is kind of contrived *cough**rise of the zitboy**cough* and it just doesn't seem that funny to me. It just felt like the same old scenario, but not executed in a way that was funny or interesting. (funfact - this script was written by courtney lilly, who was an intern when the show started, so that might explain why I dislike this particular one) Plus, sometimes it seems like even 10-11 minutes is too long to stretch certain stories. I think it would have been neat if they'd occasionally broken down one 11-minute block into 2 five and a half minute stories, little goofy stupid one shots. This seems like a good idea to me because, often in Jhonen's comics he'd throw in little one page stories in between his longer and more epic/serious ones. Variety is what breaks monotony anyway. I always thought that if they did that it would be an awesome addition. Yes, it break the constant 11-minute, and sometimes 22, routine. And the short comics Jhonen would throw would give the same impact as the long ones, so yeah, I think he could've done a good job with that. |

I have to agree about the later eps being a bit off kelter. Now, I loved Backseat Drivers and Frycook, but I've never been too thrilled with others like Gaz, Taster of Pork. And I absolutely despised the Christmas one. Some of the scripts seemed a bit boring to me too. Certain ones felt rushed. I also didn't really like the giant over-sized disguises Zim started to wear more. It ddin't make sense to me, especially since he'd completely freak the moment an eye piece came off. oO So it definitely took some getting used to the time I first watched the 3rd season. As for the rumors, I don't believe any of them. Picking up an old show and working on it again isn't something that ever usually happens, especially by a whole new team. The only time I've seen it happen is when they made "All Grown Up" after Rugrats. Or the time they made a 10th anniversay PPG episode on CN. They had most of the original crews as well. |
