Viacom is making the exact same mistake as WMG did.
The community THRIVES from fanmade stuff. If you take that away, all you're going to get is an ungodly mess of a community.

I think everyone should boycott Viacom! Completely cut it off from your lives. If we can get all of youtube to do that, we can basically give Viacom the finger. And they sure deserve it.

I've been trying to ease away from Nickolodeon at the moment XD Good job there was something good on Cartoon Network then. And sorry about what I said,I don't get American laws as I live in Britain and I don't care much about America. So,sorry about that.

But yeh XD Lets all switch to over channels and not watch Nick, Its hard (especially if you like half of the programs on there) but Its fun at the same time XD

@Nat: XD That was funny, but I really don't understand why WB would take it down, it's a parody. >_>

@Josheh: I know it's about slideshows and AMV's, but the reason I uploaded this was because, even if we are the people working on it from scratch, we don't have the rights to the characters. I was just spreading a word of warning. I'm not really worried about it much anymore, but I still think Viacom are being too idiotic about this.

@Pistachio: I don't live in the US (technically, we're a common wealth, but I'm not going to get into that), so I either get US-channels or local channels, and Puerto Rican comedy died in the 80's, so I'm pretty much stuck with those channels.

I started my boycott today, and it's been hard, VH1 and Nick are my favorite channels besides Cartoon Network. But I'm seriously going to do this, I already uploaded my rather lame video on youtube, and I'm sticking to what I said...why do they have to give the Mini-Moose episode tomorrow. D':

Viacom doesn't go after people for making IZ fan art, and isn't that what we're doing? The IZFAS episodes are simply fan art, and Viacom doesn't care about that.

@Cosmo: I don't know, either... it remains a mystery!
@toto: I hope you're right, I think they probably COULD get paranoid about this stuff when we have produced a few eps and people are starting to notice, but I'm not really worried about that. I don't really think they can do shit about it. Still think that whole Youtube affair is ridiculous. :wtf:

Yeah, I agree with Nat. I hope your right, but once it gets noticed, who knows if they think we're up to something...something good against their evil. In any case, we'll have to rely to emphasizing on "FAN" as much as we can. Viacom isn't going to scare me out of this project, ever.

Lol, I can imagine: "Welcome to IZFAS, you have two choices: you take the blue pill, and you'll wake up, turn on the TV and watch reruns of Invader Zim; if you take the Blue Pill, you will see how deep the rabbit hole goes". XD

Since IZ was cancelled, I don't think Viacom cares about anything we're doing here.

They care about how people on Youtube post videos with content from shows that are on the air. This is because they're afraid that people can just go to Youtube and watch episodes/clips, and not watch it on TV, thus they lose money.

That's true, but they still hold rights.

Yes, but what does Music Videos have to do with having full episodes? See, there's the problem, they just see something they have and panic because they're not making money. It's a MV for Pete's sake. D:

Exactly how I see it, they don't even look at the videos!

Crap this sucks. Isn't there a loophole?

A fair use act or something like that?

I hate this corporate nightmare, the big guys win the little guys lose. Some American Dream we're living.

COULD they potentially go after us? *fear*
