A night at the hotel would probably be about 100 something a night since its a Marriott hotel...but I think they were going to have discounts for the con, not to sure. ```````````````````````````````````` From the airline I want to use. A nonstop round-trip ticket from Texas to Georgia is $293.90 w/ tax while a one-stop ticket would be 479.60 w/ tax (IDK why its expensive o.o guess the other ones are one sale since its next year. Lol) And then the hotel booking and stuff I'm guessing would be around $200-300 [all depends on their fairs]. Might be 100 a night or more AND then money for food and goodies might go around another 150 for me, lol. So its a pretty expensive trip for those who live out of state....or just me =0.0=, =3= |

I managed to dish out over $800 for my aunt and I to go to Otakon last year. $300 for plane tickets (cause I'm not gonna sit in a more expensive train a full 24 hours) I can do, and the taxi's only an extra hundred to/from the airport. The hotel should be cheaper then the tickets. The trick is to buy it not all at once. I'm booking the hotel room first, since it's the cheapest. After I get more cash I can book the flights and save up for food and fun. And you should always keep some extra cash on you for emergenicies. As for my parents...they'll deal. For those of us who are going, we should find a way to meet up-to discern ourselves from the masses. |

It's $89 a night for the con, still, it's a lot for one person. o.o" You also get a quad room, which I think it's a pretty sweet deal. Non-stops are always more expensive, for some reason. I'm planning on taking a one-stop flight too, they just don't have those prices out yet (though for some reason, always goes from PR to New York or Washington DC and then down again to GA, but hey, who's complaining? XD) Also, I'm just planning on bringing a hand-bag for clothes and junk, so I wouldn't have to worry about my luggage getting lost. Hu-ah! ------------------------------------------------------------ The total: Hotel: One-night stay: $89 (for a quad-room) The Invader Con Tickets: Weekend Pass (Early Bird) $21.00 + $1.52(fee) Weekend Pass (Advance Discount) $26.00 $1.64(fee) Weekend Pass (Advance Sale) $31.00 + $1.77(fee) It starts off with $22.52 if you buy it on April, I think. = D And the flight it would depend where you live. Which is weird, because if you guys live in the States, shouldn't it be cheaper? o.o The total including the Con tickets and the hotel stay would be: Weekend Pass (Early Bird) $111.52 Weekend Pass (Advance Discount) $116.64 Weekend Pass (Advance Sale) $121.77 I just wonder if the $89, would include tax. ó_o These prices do not include food, the Dinner of Doom ticket prices will appear on the site on April 15th. D| As the numbers pile up, this looks harder and harder for me... EDIT: I was looking in Google Maps, and it said that the approximate distance from the airport to the hotel is around 30 minutes. I've never driven a cab, but I wouldn't be surprised if it would be expensive too. By bus takes around an hour and a half, which is horrendously long. o_O Edited by Cosmographia, Apr 6 2010, 03:09 PM.

I'm moving fairly close to Georgia at the end of the month. It'll be a five hour drive to Atlanta. I plan on getting a job during the summer and I am pretty good on the whole 'not spending my saved cash'. Overall my biggest issues are my parents and finding someone (and a guardian) who will actually want to attend with me. I've less than 365 days to prepare. |

It's crazy expensive for two people, but me and James can skip on the plane or train tickets and I'll drive us there. It's about a 16 hour drive to Georgia and I'm the only lisenced driver, so we may have to stop and let me rest (lol) but at least we won't have to pay for tickets (only gas. =] ) Also, I wonder if we figured out who of us are truly going if we could all go in on rooms together. I'd feel comfortable rooming with Cosmo and others, so we COULD potentially split the cost for a quad. :83: Edited by Invader Rachel, Apr 6 2010, 04:29 PM.

Once I land myself a job then I'll know for sure if im going or not. But as for tickets in the States -_-, man the prices want to make me cry sometimes. The airline tickets are no joke o.o. Me trying to fly to a state away could cost me 300 dollars ._. . Plus I dont know how to keep away from expensive (Lol) i like the good things and when it comes to hotel rooms I want one by myself cause I'm being selfish and i feel as if I'm bother the person whose rooming with me >.< |

I'm perfectly happy meeting others at Logan airport and travelling w/them to the con and I could be considered an adult/supervisor since I'm over 18. We could split the taxi fare and we could spilt a hotel cost if we shared a room. That's what my friend and I did at Otakon-she paid for half the room since her folks didn't want her to be rooming alone. I'd be arriving there the 25th so I'm staying for 3 days/2 nights. |

Hey wow that would be a really good idea to split a quad. and since Blitz is over 18 i wouldnt have to pay for my mom, who i would be torturing in the first place. (if that doesnt make you uncomfortable or anything. i know im new >.> well probably know each other a little better by then.) That would hack like over $400 from my costs. EDIT:wait nevermind my dad said i couldn't. Because apparently you guys are all horrible pedofiles (stupid paranoid dad) oh well then. we should still meet up if we do get to go because i will have no one to hang out with. I hate being 16 (almost) >.> Edited by .:CitrusRush:., Apr 6 2010, 05:49 PM.

Yeah, I know how it goes. You don't know 'em in person, so everyone is a pedo. Parents care too much. Since I'm over 18 I can go w/or w/out their permission But we should meet up and we should do something to show our group...like everyone wear a t-shirt (anyone can iron-on), or fake antannea in their hair or [insert third idea here]. |

I suck at math, but I estimated that it'd be close to $300-$400 for just myself. That's how much it is for college books...and at least you are able to get some money back. Still sucks though. And now you guys are telling me the Dinner of Doom isn't included in the Con admission. Great... And now my sister's trying to figure out how to save up money herself, which is nearly impossible at the lowly age of 14. I know. I've been there. D: |

T-shirts with an IZFAS logo would be pretty epic. like the whole shirt could be black and have that green ouline and pink eyes like up above and it could be like IZFAS across our chests. ^_^ that would be pretty hard to do though wouldnt it
