I guess this is a good time to quell this insurgency.

To make it clear, Malos and I serve different purposes. He's here to dispel disputes, clean up spam if there's ever any, make sure things don't get out of hand. I guess I could do the same if I wanted to, but I was hired for another reason that I can't disclose. Looking through this thread, I can tell Malos is making the mistake of adding fuel to the fire. It's understandable, we're human and we make mistakes. Malos, when being a mod, you sacrifice some freedom. Being a regular poster has more perks than a mod, so I don't understand the hype of wanting to be one so badly, as displayed in this thread. Besides, mods have to get permission from Skoo in order to do anything. We're mainly janitors.

As a mod, you must retain a certain level of unattachment and remain impartial to a degree. The most important trait is, of course, being unbiased. But to be completely unbiased is impossible, except for robots.

I use to come here to troll, but I can't do that anymore, even if it's so tempting.

But, onto more important things. I came to address the absence of Skoo and I. It seems we've been gone for far too long, due to outside occurrences and we both apologize for it. Unfortunately for Skoo, his computer is still broken and can only come on in rare instances. We will try to mend our errors for ignoring IZFAS for this long. If anyone has more inquiries, please email me or PM me, and I will call Skoo on the phone about it.

The forum will undergo a huge construction once Skoo's computer is optimal. It will have global rules and secular rules to avoid confusion, for starters. There will also be more sections too. And projects for regular users that I can't elaborate on just yet.

Right now I'm inspecting the forum to see if there are any more emergencies. I am vaguely certain that Malos maintained it well, but I'll see for myself. If there are any emergencies that you would like to bring to our attention right now, PM either Malos or I and we will come into contact with Skoo. Do not attempt to fix it yourselves.

Anything else?

Will we need to worry about sudden changes to the forums as we surf around, if and when you start making these changes?
Or will the forum be closed for a period of time as you develop it?

Not really. If there is cause for concern, we'll notify it through a sticky or something of the sort. Currently nothing can be done since Skoo can't go online. Hold tight.

Are you questioning my abilities as a mod?
I'm currently the only active mod here.
Do you know what would happen if I wasn't on and some troll came on?
Everything would go into chaos and there would be no backup to ban the troll.
Basically, the Members of this forum would have to worry 60% of the time.
You might have a way for words, but they can't be used if you're only on for 1 month at a time.

I can already see a flame argument about to come up.
You both are exaggerating each other's words.
z0har, you are correct, to a degree, but the way you said it could be changed so Malos won't take it so offensively. (And yes, it does seem kind of offensive).
And Malos, read between the lines, and you'll see he's correct, to a degree.

He has to understand that I'm entitled to my opinions and I'm not changing them.

I think what z0har means isn't that you aren't entitled to opinions, but they are limited in them.
z0har, you should reword that paragraph. Even I had to read it a few times over to understand exactly what you meant (Because I knew you were trying to be more specific than what you said).

After inspecting the forum, there hasn't been any discrepancies that are a cause for concern. As I identified earlier, I was fairly certain Malos kept things in control, which he did. I offered a small critique in which Malos found offense in, but to clear things up, I do not mean any offense. He did a good job in keeping the forum in check.

There isn't a demand for more mods since Malos is not having trouble. I am not saying that Skoo isn't going to hire any more mods in the future, I'm just saying there is no demand for more mods right now.

Fenrakk, you are overreacting. Please calm down.

I think you guys are all overreacting. But, who ever cared about the invisible girl in the corner?

I think that we're fine that way we are and this thread should be locked. We have our new mods, and Spriters. z0har's a fine mod. Sure, he's not on everyday of the week. How come, when Swiblet wasn't on everyday, we didn't start ranting like this, huh? Look, these people have lives. Skoo's computer is broken. I'm an outsider from this conversation, I know, but I seriously think all of you guys are overreacting. Just my opinion. Go ahead and scream at each other all you want. It won't solve anything.

I'm unable to get on very much until my computer is fixed, but anytime I can glimpse over here I do. I have not seen anything out of hand here and see no reason to hire any new mods based on the fact mods do not come on often.

Moderators do not need to be on every day nor even every other day. If the flow of things is slow and there is no trouble then what is the deal? We aren't a large community with several newbie members joining each day who all need to be monitored, we're basically the same group of people with new people once in a while. I already know who most everyone is here and we all know eachother, if something gets out of hand I expect you all to be able to settle minor disputes in an orderly fashion. Moderators are here for when trouble stirs up, cleaning up spam, and generally watching over everyone.

Z0har is right in that I hired both Malos and him for separate reasons. Just because you do not SEE what moderators do, understand that they DO have assignments they do in the background. They answer requests, they clean up, and they keep in contact with me. When I am gone, like recently, they are in charge and they are to be respected.

I'm glad you are all concerned about your forum but there is and has been no cause for alarm. I'm not hiring more staff currently because I cannot spare the time for more interviews and because I have two qualified moderators right now. Life comes sometimes and hits us hard, and we too must stop our online activities to face them.

This is not a job, this is a place to come be and alleviate the stresses of life amongst friends and share in a common interest. Staff are fans just as much as any of you, but there's a level of maturity that must be maintained.

When there is a problem, please ask a mod for help, do not assume that there's trouble because of lack of trouble or if a problem is not addressed immediately.

I thought when I heard the issue that there was a major problem, but checking the forum over I see it was only in this one thread and it wasn't truly out of hand. But I'll address the problems I do see here. With no fingers pointed... there was alot of fuel to the flames here with instigation and taking replies out of context. Other than that I'm glad that you all have taken the time to try and settle things here and have not taken this argument out of this topic.

There will be some changes for when I return, but all you can do is look forward to them. I want you all to maintain yourselves in the meantime.

Sorry for the absence, but I can not help it quite yet.

Yeah, I guess I'm overreacting.
Thanks for clearing things up and stopping a future flamewar from happening.
But what about the possibility of a future troll attack?
What would happen then?

This is the wrong thread to talk about this, for one thing, but Orbit was here a long time ago. He made dozens of scripts.

And when do we intend to perform these changes?
