I came across this random page today, and anti-hipster comments aside, looking at all these photos kind of made me miss my own Dad. :) I can only imagine what he was like when he was young, hip and a beer drinking fun time young adult in the 70's.

This is an old picture of my own Dad - happy, confident and young. I've always wondered what it would be like to meet him at the age I am now. ^_^

Ever wonder what your Dad was like when he was younger?

^ Really? :)

And here is one of my favourite photos ever. That's my Dad holding me, with the most blank look ever, with my Uncle George looking like he just came from a heavy metal gig. To top it off - you guys remember Alf? My Mum put up this posters every single Christmas.

Your uncle looks nuts!
I was about to say the same thing!
I be he head bangs like a boss!

On topic: I've always been curious to know what dad was like when he was young and by that I mean actually know, not be told by someone else. He's been a very reserved man ever since I can remember but I don't think he has always been like that.
Mum always tells me I'm basically the complete opposite of his personality when he was my age and that Scott takes after him a lot more. Having said that, he can really put it on when he's with a client and then I see parts of myself in him. I suppose I'm the physical manifestation of my dads salesman technique.

Haha! Yes, Uncle George is definitely quite something. :P

He is the eldest of our Bunce family here in Australia. At the age of 64, he is still going hard... drinking, bar fights and many lady friends. Every time the family meets up, there is always a new story about his troublesome ways. :P Definitely the definition of the crazy Uncle... I think... but we all love the guy. :)

^ I remember your Dad once flipping off a speed camera, I think it was, in his car on Australia Day. It was a long time ago, but I think I had just met him a short while before that.

That's constitutes about 99% of memory I have about your Dad. :P

My dad has gotten very old and senile and grumpy in the last few years. But when I was younger he was a pretty great dad.
He hates Matt for stealing a street sign. My mum loves Matt coz he's awesome. My parents are pretty different.
But my dad came around yesterday to set up a new TV for me. Very nice but typical male, my lounge room looks like a bomb hit it now...

I dont have any pictures of my dad when he was young on this computer, but hes pretty much a farm boy, he grew up in Harvey. In some ways I'm very much like him, but in other ways I'm very different. So I think dad would have been a lot like me when he was younger. And I wish my uncle was as cool as Jens uncle.

My dad grew up living between derby and a hostel for aborigional "At risk" kids who were boarding from the stations in the kimberly to go to school, My grandad used to take any job he could get (would drop one job if he would make a cent more at another place due to him comming from an absolutly dirt poor family he just wanted to make money and live a good life) so the family moved around a lot, i think 12 months was the longest time he stayed at one place as a teenager (at the hostel and at fitzroy crossing). Basically He learned how to fight, pigeon aborigional and to play basketball really good untill a back injury (my uncle eventually become a state captain, however he copped a broken neck and retired at something stupid like 19)

He qualified for uni however he decided to work for 2 years (His dad would not support him while going to uni) so he put his study for small business on hold and worked as a roadie for touring bands and eventually met my mother and decided to learn a trade insted
