Hi, we are desperate for some help walking the dogs this week. We have 10 dogs in all wanting to have a bit of time outside.

If you can spare an hour or so, it would be much appreciated by staff and especially the dogs!!! :o3

There are more dogs coming from the pound during the week too!

Many thanks.................Brigit

There are now 9 very lively dogs in kennels , all desperate to get out for exercise , fresh air and human companionship. If anyone could spend just a little time with our lovely bunch, it would make such a difference to them!!

We have got 8 dogs in at the moment - is there anybody out there who could spare a bit of time to be with the dogs this week please? What could be better than walking a rescue dog in the sunshine?

Have Tuesday and Wednesday off, but don't drive. If anybody is coming over from Hereford and could give me a lift, I will gladly come and walk the dogs. Chomp would enjoy a trip out too!!
Let me know.
Liam and Carol have my number.

We might be able to come up on Tuesday, hopefully. Probably the morning, not entirely sure yet though!

That would be great - thank you Alison and AnnaT.

AnnaT, I don't know if you've walked the dogs before but Lorna, one of our most experienced walkers, will be helping out on Tuesday and she can introduce to the dogs and take you on some of the routes.

Have fun, I'm sure the sun will shine.

Thank you.

Very happy to show people dog walking routes and general procedures of getting dogs in and out of kennels.
With one member of staff on holiday, and another very poorly , we are under pressure at the moment and we happen to have some very lively dogs in kennels at the moment , all very keen to get out.!!!

There are all sorts of dogs to walk , from a JRT to a Rottie,, a dog for everyone . Even getting one dog out for half an hour makes a difference.

Thanks for the offer but don't worry, although I don't post here often we've been coming up to the kennels for a few years now :o3 (usually weekends!) Looking forward to seeing the new dogs though :)

I could do with some advice on routes and on the routine if anyone will be up there on saturday?

I haven't walked the dogs at the kennels for years. I used to just take the dogs round the meadows or take them out for a drive to Queens woods or the mountains near Abergavenny or Ewyas Harold.

I may be able to take Lucky out for a few hours on Friday, got to see what time the vet is coming to the pony but am planning to go up to Bircher Common with our dog so he could come with us.

Does he travel in the car ok do you know?

Don't know Andrea, but it's not very far, worth trying?
Took him out twice today, he's so gentle and walks so well on the lead, sure you will find him an absolute dream. Would be great to get him out of kennels for a while.
Might be worth ringing the kennels to give a time you might be able to pick him up, just to make sure someone doesn't disappear with him!!!

Thanks, that's great that he's been cat tested too, I presume he passed! Cleo (marcelle) is going tomorrow :-( so I'm working on Shaun to let me foster Lucky. I will let kennels know what time once I know when vet is coming. I will also try & walk a few others Friday.
