I don't believe I have ever mentioned this but I just had the thought to in the event it might benefit someone, but some years ago I was getting the strangest raised bumps around my neck, behind my ears, on my forehead and around.

I wondered if it was cancer or something (because it was unusual). I honestly didn't know what it was. As per usual, I researched and found the problem and the solution.

I'll jump to the solution as I can't trust my memory to repeat what the said cause is except to say it has something to do with getting older, and something our body doesn't produce so well anymore that normally keeps that in check.

The solution was L-Lysine (my bottle says "skin and tissue health" under the name (L-Lysine). So, I purchased some and within days of taking it there were no more strange bumps appearing, and what there was had gone away.

I don't take it all the time, just when I feel bumps start to appear. I ran through my first bottle over time and had it on a shopping list my daughter was filling the second time and what she brought back was a large bottle full of horse pills, I mean really big pills that are hard to swallow. I think I purchased my first bottle from ebay while she got the second one from Walmart.

Anyway, I'm down to a handful of pills. I think it must be that my first bottle was 500mg and this bottle is 1000mg.

I'll take care to get a better size when I replace, hopefully.

Always seek professional advice. I sometimes don't ask in advance but I always notify my doctor of herbal remedies that I use, like the urinary support mix, and the L-Lysine.

It's always a good idea to research interactions before even thinking about it.

Once, I was filling capsules with golden seal powder and taking them with my daily meds. It was only a few days before I'd learned (read) that I wasn't supposed to be taking golden seal within a 2-hour window of one of my medications, so I pretty much stopped. I took a few more golden seal capsules at the appropriate time but I was not feeling any benefit (another thing with me, I like to measure results) and so I discontinued.
