I was a young adult the first time I tried cilantro and I fell in love with it. I haven't made a pesto as of yet but when I make Mexican food, in particular fresh homemade salsa, cilantro is a must. I really love to smell it, there's something very special about cilantro. I learned early on that the stems I can do without, it is the leaves I use.

Both the following Cilantro Chelation Pesto recipes call for Bragg's Liquid Aminos™. I know very little to speak of about Braggs. The things I prefer most in life are those in which we can grow, process, and produce ourselves and if there's a way to find out about a thing, how to wise, then I will seek it. I'm not entirely sure we can produce our own aminos, though it'd be nice. :)

For now, will throw it all out here for inspection.

Compiled by Dr. Thomas Stearns Lee, NMD

Heavy-metal poisoning is rampant. It is a major cause of hormonal imbalances, cancer, thyroid problems, neurological disturbances, learning problems, depression food allergies, and parasites.

Cilantro -- also known as coriander or Chinese parsley -- has been proven to chelate toxic metals from our bodies in a relatively short period of time. (The word chelate comes from the Greek word for claw, and describes a process which acts to engulf and then enable the removal of a highly reactive toxic mineral.)

Combined with the benefits of the other ingredients, the following recipe for Cilantro Chelation Pesto is a powerful tissue cleanser. It is not only easy to make, but also really tasty. It's delicious on toast, baked potatoes, and pasta.

Two teaspoons of this cilantro pesto daily for three weeks is purportedly enough to increase the urinary excretion of mercury, lead, and aluminum, thus effectively removing these toxic metals from our bodies. Consider doing this cleanse for three weeks at least once a year.
Cilantro Chelation Pesto

*

4 cloves garlic
*

1/3 cup Brazil nuts (selenium source)
*

1/3 cup sunflower seeds (cysteine source)
*

1/3 cup pumpkin seeds (zinc, magnesium sources)
*

2 cups packed fresh cilantro (coriander, Chinese parsley) (Vitamin A source)
*

2/3 cup flaxseed oil
*

4 tablespoons lemon juice (Vitamin C source)
*

2 tsp. Dulse powder
*

Bragg's Liquid Aminos™

Process the cilantro and flaxseed oil in a blender until the cilantro is chopped. Add the garlic, nuts, and seeds, dulse and lemon juice and mix until the mixture is finely blended into a paste. Add a squirt of Bragg's Liquid Aminos to taste and blend again. Store in dark glass jars if possible. It freezes well, so purchase cilantro in season and fill enough jars to last through the year.

One person suffering from high blood pressure due to mercury poisoning had her blood pressure return to normal after eating 2 teaspoons of this pesto daily for only a week. So whether you need to detoxify heavy metals from your body or just wish to use it as a preventative measure, 2 teaspoons a day is all you need to take.

We appreciate this recipe for a dietary protection from an increasingly toxic and dangerous environment. This requires more powerful and dependable chelating medicines. Please consider our Modifilan and EDTA products, and consult with a trained professional in natural medicine if you have definite symptoms or known exposures to toxic materials.

For cases of serious disease, you may contact NaturoDoc for referrals to clinics outside the U.S. that use innovative, effective natural medical procedures for detoxification.
About Testing for Toxic Metals

Several different methods can be used to test for toxic metals in the hair, urine, and blood. A challenge test of the urine evaluates the body load of mercury more accurately than a hair analysis. The problem with hair analysis is that there could be a lot of heavy metals in the bones and teeth that do not come out in the hair test.

In our opinion, the only dependable reflection of the body's load of toxic mercury is a urinalysis preceded by a dose of an oral chelator at a known concentration for your body weight. The chelator is DMSA, and the amount of toxic metal that comes out in this preliminary dose reflects how much is there to be removed later.

The King James Medical Laboratory and its Omegatech division offers preventive medical physicians a full menu of tests to support their patients. These tests include testing for 22 metals in hair, urine, and blood, and a full interpretation of hair test results. The urine test can be performed alone, or before and after chelation therapy to evaluate its effectiveness. Also available is a special test for mercury and other metals in urine that is designed to evaluate the body burden of mercury and the effect of removal therapy. This "Toxic Metals in Urine" test is available for the evaluation of twelve of the most important toxic metals.

A Yummy Mercury Detox Recipe by Rudenski .....

"Let your food be your medicine" said Hippocrates I have been trying to come up with my own three week detox protocol and came across this. I didn't see this site first but it is amazing how similar this author's detox solution is to my own. I am still going to try my own detox protocol but if it doesn't work out the way I hope then I am going to try this recipe. I would still add taking Chlorella and lots of filtered water to this protocol. I am also using walnut oil instead of flaxseed oil. Walnut oil has many of the same properties as flaxseed oil but I like what I have read about walnuts as brainfood. It is so interesting that this recipe mentions Brazillian Nuts and lemon juice. I think maybe we are on to something.

*My personal comments[Risingsun]

*I would take chlorella 30 minutes before eating this yummy recipe.

to Remove Heavy Metals

Author Unknown

Heavy metal poisoning is rampant. It is a major cause of hormonal imbalances, cancer, thyroid problems, neurological disturbances, learning problems, depression, food allergies, parasites, etc. etc. This is a great recipe that is not only easy to make but also really yummy, and it tells you how to remove heavy metals from the body!

Cilantro is truly a healing food. One friend suffering from high blood pressure due to mercury poisoning had her blood pressure return to normal after eating two teaspoons of this pesto daily for only a week. So whether you need to detoxify heavy metals from your body or just wish to use it as a preventative measure, 2 teaspoons a day is all you need to take. This pesto has now become a regular in my diet. Enjoy!

*note [I would take chlorella 30 minutes before I ate this recipe to help the body move the mercury and other heavy metals out of the body.]

* This might be the perfect recipe for that child who refuses to eat GOOD foods.
