Above all else though she wishes to acquire some form of education. Even if it is only learning a bit beyond the basics of reading and writing. Her mother and father only taught her to do so, since there are times her father is away on royal business, or her brother and they must correspond through mail. - - - - Fears, There aren't many things that Elizabeth truly fears. She's quite optimistic when it comes to life, but there are a few things that she does worry about in the back of her mind. At the top of her fears list would be to die during child birth. She's known many women who have lost their lives while giving birth, and dying frightens her. The second would be her brother doing something that got him executed. Francis has always been a rather rambunctious man, and Elizabeth fears one day he will get himself into trouble he cannot get out of. - - - - Overall Personality, Charming The life of a courtier depends fully on whether the courtier can make themselves entertaining, and if the nobles enjoy their company. Elizabeth has spent her whole life at court, watching the goings on. While she has somehow remained innocent to the darker parts of court, she has managed to learn a thing or two about keeping the person you're talking with entertained. She has always been one to listen instead of speaking, giving compliments where compliments were do, and blending in when she had to. Her brother has always had a way with the court life, and serves as a member of the Privy Chamber.
Kind Though Elizabeth leads a somewhat privileged life for her ranking, she has never taken it for granted. She is well aware of the poverty and it grieves her a bit. She wishes to help people, but is uncertain of how to do so. As it were, she has no power over the money her husband has, or what he does with it. Even still she cannot think of any ideas to help the poor, and feels bad about this. She is the sort of girl that would help anyone if she could, unless it endangered her own well being.
Observant Elizabeth has always had an eye for detail. Perhaps it comes from her passions of sewing and embroidery, which requires a good eye to thread a needle and to work patterns accurately. Though Elizabeth is more likely to notice a misplaced thread then the average lady, she also has a good eye at recognizing things in the people she knows well. She can easily tell when something is annoying someone, or upsetting them. Her brother taught her to watch for subtle body cues that are otherwise ignored. Because of her observancy, however, she often gets distracted by things she should not.
Trusting Elizabeth is a woman who has always believed in the good in everyone. Though she was not born into an overly religious family, she does believe in the teachings none the less. That being said, anyone who can appeal to Elizabeth's kind and trusting nature is likely to get whatever they desire of her. Normally her observant nature might alert her to any bad intentions, but unfortunately her emotions cloud her judgement more often then not and she is likely to ignore anything that points her in the right direction.
Reserved Elizabeth is reserved in nature, because as her father repeatedly told her, women are to be seen and not heard. Even though she may have an opinion, she may not voiced it unless asked to do so. She knows this is how the world works, and that she has to obey it. Elizabeth also usually pays more attention to whom she is talking to, what they are saying and how they are saying it then talking herself. Some people deem her to be shy, but she is simply quite keen on listening to what you have to say and taking it in fully.

Sir Thomas Bryan, Father. Baroness Margaret Bryan (Nee Bourchier), Mother. Sir Francis Bryan, Brother Cecily Seymour, Cousin Sir Nicholas Carew, Husband. - - - - Overall History, Elizabeth Carew was born and raised in Beiningbrough, Yorkshire along with her brother Francis. Growing up there, Elizabeth was never really particularly lonely. She always had someone with her, whether it be her brother Francis, or her father. When she and Francis were younger they spent time playing together, where they wouldn't disturb anyone. As they got older of course, Francis went to tutors which left Elizabeth alone with few exceptions. She was much shyer back then, and thus didn't really partake in much interaction with the others until she grew older. When she was in her early teens she began helping her mother serve as a lady in waiting, and general courtier.
Her brother joined her when he was free, and the older male schooled her in things she would need to know in order to maintain her current lifestyle and not anger anyone. Of course he also told her a number of gossip, most of which she ignored. Elizabeth had no time for such things, and truthfully the gossip Francis was interested in made her blush simply hearing of it! Thus it was best to be ignored, lest she get in trouble with her mother or father. Of course Francis often got in trouble for that sort of thing as well. Truthfully Francis was always getting into some sort of trouble, even back then. He enjoyed pranks, and wandering where he wasn't supposed to. He dreamed of traveling, and sailing the seas. Elizabeth couldn't quite sympathize with him, as she couldn't imagine sailing to be all that fun.
When she was older, she became part of King Henry VIII's courtiers. Elizabeth isn't quite sure how it happened still, as she wasn't trying to achieve any affections from the king. She was uncertain of her brother, as he had much more ambition then her, as well as upholding the family name. Regardless, Elizabeth met Nicholas Carew who was also a courtier and the two more or less fell in love with one another. Surprisingly enough, the King arranged a marriage between the two of them either out of kindness, or merely growing annoyed with the way they seemed to constantly make eyes at one another. They were thus married, and it was quite a lovely event that even the king himself attended. For their wedding gift, the king endowed upon them 50 marks worth of land, which both Elizabeth and Nicholas were quite thankful for. They both still spend a majority of their time at the castle, entertaining the king.
[/font]- - - - - Roleplay Sample,
Amara shot Alexei a displeased look, obviously not amused at his sarcasm. She knew he was just joking, considering Alexei was hardly ever serious anymore and she knew for a fact that if he hadn't wanted to be around her and her rambling he would have made himself scarce. Years around him made her quite attuned to his moods and when he needed her and when he didn't. Truthfully sometimes she didn't care one way or the other, but she did try to respect when he needed time alone. Not that she would ever admit to that, it was much too personal and nine times out of ten she acted like she didn't respect half of his wishes, even if she was doing so simply to tease him. "Prat," She commented, in reply to him saying that she was already rambling. She wasn't really that serious, even though he was a bit of an ass most of the time. One really did have to just get used to the fact he was sarcastic and usually didn't mean to be hurtful with the things he said and he was easy to get along with. Sure, she probably wouldn't be able to put up with him being her boyfriend, even if she did like him. She was terribly possessive, and she didn't think that would go over very well. Not to mention there was that incident that caused Grace and Alexei to break up, and she wasn't entirely sure who did what when or why, but she had a feeling that Alexei was not entirely blameless. She took his side anyways, simply because he was her friend and she was supposed to take his side regardless of whether he was right or wrong, and without judging him even if she thought what he did was wrong. Not that she couldn't yell at him if she wanted to about it...but still.
"Maybe if I spent some time with my nose buried in a book what?" She asked, sounding exasperated. Just what on earth did he mean? He hadn't even bothered to finish his sentence and now Amara was left wondering what he meant. Did he mean she would be smarter? That was almost impossible since Amara knew almost everything with the exception of mind reading, transfiguration, and healing. Okay, maybe she was exaggerating a little, but the point was she had common sense and basic knowledge and so far it hadn't done her any wrong. Still she was forever left in the dark about what he meant, and was saddened that she would never know what he meant and would be forever wondering. Just what did he mean? She was frustrated, and tempted to further prod him into telling her, but she held her tongue if only to prove that she could shut up when she really wanted to. Instead she looked at him as he spoke next, moving to punch his arm lightly, only enough to really feel. "If my ass is so bony then why does everyone stare at it? Not to mention have you not noticed I have bloody child bearing hips?" She gestured vaguely at her hips, wondering how on earth he could have missed that. It wasn't like it was hard to, considering she had a vaguely pear shaped body - despite having little to no breasts, in her opinion. "I'm beginning to wonder if you're blind." She added, sending him a displeased squint. Ignoring his mocking smirk, she rolled her eyes at him and looked at him in a manner that clearly said that she thought he was the idiot and clearly did not know what he was talking about. "When will you learn that everything in Hogwarts will try to kill you and drag you to hell? Or have you forgotten about the whomping willow? Peeves? The moving stairs? The centaurs in the forest? Whatever is in the shrieking shack? The bloody baron, I swear he's the ghost of a serial killer."
Amara looked at Alexei for a few moments, merely staring at him unblinkingly. Finally after a moment she took a breath, and huffed. "The day you throw me in the lake is the day that I kill you. You seem to forget I know where you sleep." She commented in a dead pan, before smirking at wiggling her finger at him. Really though, she was half serious as she was not going to let herself be tossed into the lake. He could certainly try to toss her in the lake, but it would be an ill-advised move and Amara would certainly take him with her if nothing else.
It was nice that he chose to acknowledge the fact that not only was she amazing at massages, and in general duh, but quite talented. Truthfully the thank you almost caused her to fall over in shock, but she was rather content where she was snuggled against him. She enjoyed snuggling, hugs, and simply being close to people. She was an affectionate person most of the time, though she generally preferred the one being held. Sometimes she felt like she had to protect Alexei like she had years ago, even though she really didn't need to be a hero. Alexei was more then capable of taking care of himself in a fair fight or duel, but she wasn't necessarily thinking of that. True he did have a sister that was more then willing to tell him when he was doing something stupid, but, he didn't always listen to her either. Then there were his ill advised romances that she made obvious she didn't approve of. As much as she hated doing it, she couldn't help but get jealous and possessive. He was her friend, and had been for years. There was no reason why any other females had to enter the picture and ruin it. That was exactly what they did too, each and every time. Each and every time she wanted to say, "I told you so" but she didn't because that's not who she was even if she wanted to. She was trying to shift away from being like that, if only because it hurt their friendship. Whenever Alexei was dating someone she didn't enjoy being in his presence and often avoided him, for lack of a better word. At least she had managed to keep any nasty comments to herself, or his sister and not Alexei. Even though she did say he had poor taste, she tried not to take it any further then that.
The hand that slid to rest over hers surprised her more then she would admit to, or she would show. Her face remained as neutral as possible, which was very hard considering she had having difficulty breathing at this point in time. What was he trying to do? Kill her? He might as well, considering she knew that this was a simple, kind gesture that was probably meant in some sort of informal way. It was frustrating to say the least, that she felt this way about him and nothing could be done about. Sure, she could try to do something about it but she figured if he hadn't initiated anything by now it was a lost cause. He wasn't going to one day wake up and realize that she was bloody amazing. That was not how life worked, that was how movies worked. It didn't help if one considered how physically close they were, the positions of their bodies and how easy it would be for her to close the distance and kiss him. But she didn't want to make a fool of herself, and thus let the moment pass by as hard as it was for her to do. Instead when he chose to break the silence she gave a little amused snort, rolling her eyes and looking at him fondly. "Say what you want, but you know if I made any sort of move on you, you would die of shock and then sexual frustration. Or both at once, I don't know." She stated with a small smirk, amused at the idea. Still she looked at him and raised an eyebrow. "Yeah, yeah. Don't you know I spend most of my day giving guys massages and random hand jobs? I swear, you're such a perv. If you wanted a hand job you could have just asked." She stated with a laugh, shifting to trail the tip of her nose over his neck in a lazy display of affection.
