She was raised and educated to be quiet and speak only when she's told to which isn't really different from the other young ladies of nobilities. When she is at banquets with her family, she always has this beautiful smile on her face and is friendly to anyone, even to the people she despises. Jane was taught how to fake happiness even in the toughest situations which makes it hard for people to really know what she feels, not that it's important. She's also a devout catholic and has kept her virginity for the past eighteen years so that her family wouldn't have to live in shame.
She is a hopeless romantic and hopes to marry for love, but she's not stupide either and knows that the chances of her to marry for love are close to zero. She wants to marry and have children like any other young ladies of any social class, but, unlike her parents, she would love to play an important role in her children's childhood.
Behind all this education hides the real Jane, the one who has bad days, strong opinions and dreams. A girl who totally hates how men treat the women of this world although she does accept the idea that men are more important than women. She hides behind this education that was given to her so that people won't judge her family or her.
- - - - - Family Members, Lord Francis George Cambridge, father
Lady Kathryn Ann Cambridge, mother William George Cambridge, eldest brother Peter Thomas Cambridge, brother Henry Francis Cambridge, brother - - - - Overall History, Jane Anna Cambridge was born in Cambridge exactly eighteen years ago from Francis George Cambridge, well, it's Lord Francis George Cambridge, and his wife, Kathryn Ann Cambridge and it is a total coincidence if their family name is the same as the place they come from. Anways, Jane was the Lord and the Lady Cambridge's last child and only daughter after William, Peter and Henry. Known for their good-looks, the family was expecting nothing else than a gorgeous little girl that would make a perfect little wife, but other than for their high expectations for their little Jane, her parent's didn't give their daughter a lot of attention. In fact, as a baby, she was left with maids who would take care of her, walking her around in the family's mansion's graden, feeding her and playing with her. To make a long story short, Jane had a very cold childhood deprived of love and family affection.
At the age of five years old, Jane was sent to the French court to get an education with the ladies-in-wating of the queen. Being a delightfull young lady, she was well-liked by these women who helped her with how to walk, sit, talk, play cards, horseback ride and basic geography and history. It took about three years for Jane's education at the french court to be complete and she wss sent back to Cambridge where her father, her mother, her three brothers and all of the maids were waiting for her to get out of the carriage after three years of seperation. As soon as she laid foot on the ground, her father looked at her from head to toe and smiled. It was the first time she'd ever seen him smile at her and it came as such a shock that Jane nearly forgot to bow. Her mother, behind her snobbish looks, seemed pleased to have her daughter back as she walked slowly to greet her youngest child back home. This is Jane's greatest memory of her family , it was the first time she ever felt so loved. Even her brothers, whom she had never met before since she was born while they were sent to get their education and she was sent away a few days before the oldest one, William, came back, seemed to already really like her.
The years went by and the young Jane received a little more education at her family mansion, but this time it was an education preparing her for the biggest role of her life, being a wife. She was also taken to banquets and parties with her family so that her father could present her to other members of the nobility to make sure Jane was noticed and married in a near futur. As the years passed by, Jane's beauty went from cute to drop dead gorgeous, but there was one thing that would scare every man who laided eyes on her from marrying her... She has a very small frame. In fact, her father receives a lot of congradulations on how gorgeous his family and especially his daughter looks, but most men won't marry his daughter because of their fear that she will die in childbirth or will be simply unable to get pregnant. This is why Lord Cambridge decided to send his daughter to the English court with her youngest brother, Henry, to find a husband.
