<div class='bearrulesbox'><div class='maintitle'>Heresy at Court</div><br><div class='boxtext'>

Determined not to be stopped by Bishop Gardiner, the young Countess of Warwick is keen on spreading the idea of religious reform through court. According to reformed theology, women are not sinful creatures imbued with lustful thoughts that must be entirely controlled by men. By way of other ladies of the Queen, Catherine Dudley is quietly offering heretical books to the other women in this elite circle, hoping the whispers of anti-Catholic sentiment will eventually take root in English soil. She will not get caught this time, nor will those who are interested in religious conversation.<br><br>

</div><br><div class='maintitle'>A Mistress for His Majesty</div><br><div class='boxtext'>

With the queen carrying his child, the king like any other man needs entertainment outside his marriage. Surrepitously Henry is looking for a lover amongst the court to amuse him until Queen Francesca has given birth. This lady will be showered with favors and attention all for sharing his bed. Meanwhile, George Boleyn--in an attempt to finagle his way into His Majesty's favor--will be pushing his married sister Mary into the King's path...<br><br>

</div><br><div class='maintitle'>Politics and Intrigue</div><br><div class='boxtext'>

With many men at the side of the Duke of Norfolk, the Duke of Somerset finds himself vulnerable. Political factions at court are important, even moreso when you have amongst you friends who have the ear of the King of England. In an attempt to thwart Norfolk's ambitions, Somerset has decided to do something about it. If he can, he would happily whisper poison into the ears of Norfolk's allies to bring them to his camp. Instead, he uses subterfuge to do so, his wife Cecily keen to be involved to gather men through her friends their wives. Their family machinations will certainly be countered by the more powerful Norfolk who does not intend on losing anyone to that upstart Seymour. He deserves Henry's ear and more, not Somerset.

</div><br><div class='maintitle'>Lady Poets</div><br><div class='boxtext'>

While it is well known men are paid to write poetry, women are not expected to be involved in such an art, but at court they are. A group of ladies have decided to band together to explore writing verses. Men are invited as well to their gatherings, as long as they have something interesting and witty to write.

<b>Characters Involved</b> Anne Boleyn, Anne Chamerlyn, Margaret Courtenay, Mairead de Vere, Mary Sidney, William Spencer, Mary Tudor
</div><br><div class='maintitle'>Wolsey's Downfall</div><br><div class='boxtext'>

With the keys to the kingdom, Cardinal Thomas Wolsey has monopolized political affairs for far too long. Pandemonium breaks out in the Privy Council when he suggests that Princess Mary be married off to France as was agreed, of course the agreement was reneged upon thanks to war. Courtiers begin gossiping and spreading the news, triggering people whispering into the King of England's ear about the cardinal's true intentions...

</div><br><div class='maintitle'>The Sweat</div><br><div class='boxtext'>
The plague known as the Sweating Sickness has come to England with the soldiers returned from France. It has struck in years previously and has been seen all over the British Isles as well as the Continent. The Sweat begins very suddenly with some foreboding, followed by cold shivers that can turn violent. An unexplainable giddiness sometimes occurs with a headache, exhaustion, and severe pains in the neck, shoulders and limbs. Hot sweating then follows with an inescapable urge to sleep, and once sleep falls, the victim usually succumbs to the sickness within twenty-four hours, never awakening again. Almost everyone who catches this sickness dies from it, and its victims are usually men. This bout of the Sweat will travel throughout England, being one of the biggest outbreaks England has ever seen.

Put Lettice in the heresy at court, and Mary Sidney in the Poets plot. Also, Thomas More I think needs to be in the Downfall plot, but more as an ear to the king rather than someone who wants to bring him down.

Sir Thomas More, KG
We may not look at our pleasures to go to heaven in featherbeds.
Sir Thomas is in 2 threads and he is amenable to more!.

Charles would like to be in on the King's mistress thing...his future wife and his cousins are involved XD

Pops into this thread now >.>

Comps should be in on this mistress stuff considering that his job man, that's his whole purpose for existence! Don't deny him his purpose! (Comps is amusingly dramatic)

Wills (and Fam) is obviously in the workings with Ed, but Wills isn't anti-Wolsey, he's anti-Norfolk.

*snort* Wills wants to come to one poetry meeting and make very bawdy, yet good verse...off the cuff, verbally, and make anybody with a good sense of humour laugh. He has nothing else to contribute LOL

Obviously Francois is in on the marrying talkies >.>

TBC is obviously protecting his Daddeh Wolseh :D

Let's get BC involved in the heresy plot, for curiosity, most indeed, killed the cat. She'll go because of curiosity. Whether she turns Protestant or not, she will not tell me. :P

Cranmer would most definitely be involved with the heresy.

I'm not sure exactly how she'll figure into things, but I think Anne would want to try and have a hand in Wolsey's downfall too, due to the whole HP thing. :D

Sign GB up for Politics and Intrigue since I'm like 99% sure he's going to be siding with Somerset in the near future since he's totally fed up with Norfolk xP
