![]() T H O M A S C R A M N E R ![]() * Men are always wicked at bottom unless they are made good by some compulsion . HEY THERE. THE NAME IS AMI, AND I AM TWENTY THREE SPRINGS OLD. I'VE BEEN ROLEPLAYING FOR ABOUT ELEVEN SPRINGS AND MY OTHER CHARACTERS WOULD BE NONE AT THIS POINT AND TIME . I FOUND FKAC AT WALMART. OH, BY THE WAY, I READ THE RULES. WANT PROOF? THE CODE WORD IS CATHERINE DE' MEDICI WANT TO REACH ME? HERE'S MY IM: JUST ASK, MY LOVES I was born in Aslockton in Nottinghamshire, the second son. While my brothers had the names of John and Edmund, respectively, I was given my father's name. Both he, and my mother Agnes, were of modest means. We had an estate, though, which upon my father's death, was passed to John. I hadn't a care for it nor did Edmund once they passed, though we got into enough tussels about it. Concerning our earliest education, Mother sent us to a grammar school in our village. I, however, left at fourteen to attend Jesus College in Cambridge. Eight years later after studying logic, classical literature and philosophy, I emerged with a Bachelor of Arts degree. Nearly everyone I knew made comments about how I shouldn't have needed eight years. I ignored them; I was merely taking knowledge in whenever I could. During those years, I collected as many books I could find, and continued as I undertook my master's degree. I concentrated on the humanists, Jacques Lefèvre d'Étaples and Erasmus in particular. It took a brisk three years to complete that degree and I was granted fellowship immediately after. However, after I married my Joan, though I was not yet a priest, I was forced to forfeit my fellowship and ended up losing my residence at the college as well. I moved to another college to support my wife, taking a post as a reader. Not long after Joan died in childbirth, Jesus College reinstated my fellowship and I returned to study theology. Soon, the university named me one of their preachers and that was followed by receiving my holy orders and subsequently, my doctorate of divinity. After that, I became the personal priest of the Boleyn family. I owe much to them, especially my appointment as Archbishop of Canterbury. Recently, I've taken another wife and I hope to make some reforms, including priests being able to marry freely. That is, of course, the closest to my heart. I also plan to end the corruption and scandals that seem to overtake the Church. Having a secret wife, I must admit, has been difficult in many ways. My new wife knows I never hid Joan and even lost position for her. Part of me believes, knowing this, she is discontent. We have the occasional argument; she sees nothing but corruption at court and doesn't think my reforms will bear fruition here. In ways I agree, but I believe once the King hears what I have to say, he might help with some of it. I believe he is a humanist as I am, though a King. He is the kindest of princes, so there would be amazement if he turns from me. I know I must ignore the seed of doubt that my wife has sown in my mind. Doing this, however, brings back the ghost of my first wife. Now I realize I haven't touched on heresy, but I find it best in those things to remain tight-lipped, knowing what I know and what I have seen. Perhaps some of my own ideas could have me burned at the stake or cause terrible things to happen to the Boleyns, all of which I consider my dear friends. That is why I believe, at this time, that silence in certain matters is best. Though if asked to speak my mind, I may find myself unable to resist the seduction of truth. I am, in essence, a private man, though I hold a position of great importance, and I would like to stay that way. This is why one might generally find me in the shadows or as far from court as I can manage. I find great safety, of course, in any rooms of the Boleyns and their true friends. I am no man of risk; I believe in thinking first and acting later. It is a timely thing, naturally, but I have always found it makes me prevail. I know I have yet to do anything great and what I say is only talk. However, I feel that I can achieve what I mean to do. I have the knowledge, the ability and I will soon have the support of those who can help me. If I have to step on a few toes to achieve my reforms and dreams, I will do it. I admit there is fear of repercussions, but I am not a man who dwells. |

Hi, Ami! So good to have you back! Just a few things. His app is looking good so far, but it just needs...more. More history, and more personality in that history. Because it's a freeform app, it has to scream Thomas Cranmer. |

I've added some more. I wasn't sure what to add for history, so I hope the adding of personality will help. |
