I have: Francis Walsingham: King Henry VIII's spy and occasional assasin who is actually a total sweetheart. Discretion, with him, is indeed the better part of valour-- and he could be CofA's confidante? He'd make sure nothing happened to her-- after all, she was Arthur Tudor's wife, and Walsingham is fanatically loyal to the Tudor family. Sally Fleet: royal midwife and servant. Is trying to bring Cardinal Wolsey down because she finds him abhorrent and abuses his powers. I take it from what you've said that Catherine doesn't like Wolsey. so perhaps they could have a dialogue of sorts? I'm not sure. She also happens to be a witch, but nobody knows that-- and by witch, I mean she's Pagan. She also happens to be a descendant of Edward Longshanks. Alexander Willoughby: bastard son and older half-brother to Catherine Dudley. A knight who spends his days playing Robin Hood when he's home in a village, but he works as John Dudley's secretary, and possibly could come in contact with Catherine through that? |

Mary Clairmonte - Yes please, if you wouldn't mind! Thanks bunches :] Francis Walsingham - I like this a lot. Perhaps they already know each other because they met during the brief period where Arthur and Catherine were married? Sally Fleet - Ooo, another tricky relationship. As long as Catherine never finds out or suspects that Sally is pagan, they could definitely unite against Wolsey. Alexander Willoughby - That works for me :] Catherine is also friends with Catherine Dudley, so perhaps they sort of know each other through that too? Either way, we shouldn't have a problem getting them to meet XD |

Awesome. I'll start us a Catherine and Walsingham thread soonsh. I'll also work out how we can bring Sally and Catherine together in their mutual dislike of Wolsey. The thing with Sally is that she is extremely closed off about her personal life and will never talk about it. So there's very little chance that Catherine would find out about her heretic side ;). |

The only characters I have that I think would be game for plottage with C of A right now are Isabel Leigh and Anne Boleyn. Isabel is uber Catholic and nice and religious, yo. I think they'd have a lot in common, but that's about it. And Anne Boleyn is a humanist, but their religious ideals differ a good deal. So maybe some comradery, or maybe not? I'm not sure, especially since historically speaking they would have liked to gouge each other's eyes out.

I just got a character named Edward Baynton too, and IRL he and Catherine of Aragon were actually pretty good friends. She even went so far as to rebuild a gatehouse for him at his estate of Bromham House which still stands to this day, and I put that he was always kind and courteous to Catherine before he took a leave of absence from court to start a family. So, since he's coming to court, he and Catherine could meet again or... something?
